Finished

Ok, to prove real men can fly pink planes !

Maidened today, 3S 2650 batts, Microdan 2505 motor 2535KV , apc 6 by 4 sport prop, about 32 amps WOT.

Fly well once I got CG right, flies very nice, glides well, and top speed around 75 mph, far to fas for a camera platform.

Did a bit of "pylon racing" against Stryker at the club.

The Hotglue/laminating film build is plenty strong enough for 300-400 watt build.

Next is to finish off the camera stuff and see how it goes as a stable platform.

How did you paint the stripes under the lam film?
I ve got various glossy paints but they look a bit like ass on my EPP
I tried on top of the 3M90 (EPP/3M90/paint/3M90/Lam) and it also look like ass ;p
EPP/3M90/Fiber/3M90/paint/3M90/lam is worse (yeah idk why but i tried!)
I'm almost thinking of using EPP/3M90/Colored tape/3M90/lam

Its so simple, you wont believe me.

This was a super cheap/rush job.

Its 3m90 mist over wing, then 3 mil (75 micron) lam film. the black stripes on bottom are black covering film, the pink on top is kids book covering. you could easily do all of it with book covering !

Thanks! I supposed you did that but I wasn't sure. I'm really not happy with the look of the paint under the lam film.Maybe it needs a very good finish with spackling and a very good paint (as in one that looks right, I couldn't find any)
