High or Low Gov mode on CCP-10 controller

Hello All:

My Question is:

I have a B20-36S on my Pic-Pro and I'm using the CC-P-10 controller.

Should I run the controller at Low Governer or High Governer setting on the P-10?

Any suggestion would be great.

I'll probaly try both, but just want to know if high or low is better from others.

Thanks
James

Low speed Governor for a Pro
You may find that motor a little underpowered
A B20 31s is better
Alternative is the Model Motors AC1215/20
Mega power from the B20 18L (but chews thru batteries)
Make sure ALL cutoffs are disabled or at lowest setting on the Phoenix if you are to use in a heli.

Everyone recomends using the low mode becasue it gives better resolution, but I couldn't get above 1100 rpms with mine so I switched to the high mode, it seems to be working fine???

The Phoenix does seem to behave differently depending on the software versions.

Glad you got it up and running, I only suggested it might be a bit underpowered as i had previously tried that motor but it did'nt have enough guts for my liking.

Well as a rough guide you could strap the heli down and tach it at 0 pitch. this should give you an indication of what it is.

Or if your brave (stupid enough) you can hold it in your hand and tach it that way. I have used this method before but it IS better if you have a friedn who can hold the tach and read off the numbers as you fiddle with the throttel curves.
