9059B 3 Channel Gunship Military Helicopter w/ Built in Gyro

This looks cool for the price.

Anyone have experience with this or something similar?

I'm gonna order it unless someone convinces me otherwise.

Unable to access the link. Get "Unknown DNS Name" back.

Remove all of the "http://" in your link. RC Groups automatically inserts "http://" at the beginning so all you have to enter is "www.xxxxxx.xxx/xxxxx etc" and RC Groups will do the rest.

The heli looks cool, but is rather large at 12-1/2". Are you going to have room to fly it indoors?
With the controller being RF instead of IR, you can fly it outside, but I don't know how much wind it will handle.

But, hey, buy it and write up a review...

I received the Gunship last night and was able to get two flights in. Both inside the living room.

I totally recommend this this thing for the money!!!! Absolutely incredible that it costs only $45.

Pros:
-RF tx with trim for each stick plus gyro trim which holds it's memory even after shutdown
-Springless throttle enables hands free hovering
-gyro works EXCELLENT. Heli is stable and very controllable
-realistic looking. LEDs look good especially if you disable the flybar LED
-1000 mah LiPo gives me an 8.5 min flight time.
-wall charger

Cons:
-2.5 hr charge time on battery
-no charge complete indicator

While stil a toy, this thing is a total blast and for a few dollars more than a 6020-1, you get some nice upgrades.

It is a "fun toy" but only an oversized 3 channel. The pricing makes me laugh, regular $149!!!

Are there parts readily available or do you toss it in thetrash after the first serious crash?

Have fun!

Actually, most of the parts are replaceable according to the manual. Body, battery, blades, motors, bearings, etc. They list part numbers for about 15 different parts (I don't have the manual handy right now). Where you order them from is anyone's guess though.

It's only $45 though. I paid $35 for an Air hogs from Target.

I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Interestingly, the back of the box shows a 9059A Gunship being available also. The 9059A is the same heli but with a green camo paint job. I did a google search for it, but couldn't find anything. Looks sweet though!
