the pics are really great, are there more? Also sense this is micro can we get some more information for the really small 7 mm and 6 mm motors that are still useful although not brushless? Some people are still using the brushed motors due to performance/availability/cost factors.

I usually relax by reading and learning from this forum so I thank you.

Brushed still has a huge following. Not only is the Parkzone AR6400 brick and it's components an example, but the things you mention are a factor too. Performance for availability and cost. But let everyone know, most important is weight! If you doubt this, think about twins or Tri-motors, Quads or more and the fact that you use less speed controls, wire, components are smaller, etc. All adds up to weight savings! Means you can build smaller, airframe weighs less now too, just can't loose.

I've seen quite a few post about using 7mm pagers in the 30mm fans, has anyone tried the 8.5mm motors instead? Stands to reason that they'd out perform any 7mm in fans the same way they do with props.

Also sense this is micro can we get some more information for the really small 7 mm and 6 mm motors that are still useful although not brushless? Some people are still using the brushed motors due to performance/availability/cost factors. I usually relax by reading and learning from this forum so I thank you.

thewildweasel Registered User Plymouth, Devon Joined May 2007 2,384 Posts	I've seen quite a few post about using 7mm pagers in the 30mm fans, has anyone tried the 8.5mm motors instead? Stands to reason that they'd out perform any 7mm in fans the same way they do with props.
