I know you asked for Sno's opinion, but I'd like to bump in and say yes! The moth has gotten *many* people on their way to wonderful success in the hobby - I've heard that some folks are doing loops and inverted 3in off the deck after less than a month of flying with their moth. It's slow, easy, and with lipo's (like most other small planes) can go on for as long as you want.
And, that's on their first plane. As a second plane, you'll be fine. I just recommend all (or at least some) of the mods suggested here on the zone such as flying wires, upgarded landing gear, upgraded wing struts, CF LE, etc. Just be sure to kep the weight down 
After both of those planes, you'd be ready for ailerons! But, that's a completely different story
