I agree, Juka is the king for now.

It will be interesting to see how the new 40" Yak 55M flies, I got a good feeling about this one. Check off another 40" DW in the lineup!

Yes. I am really looking forward to the 55! I designed one a while back but never had the foam to cut it out. Don't need to anymore!

Hrmm.. I thought the new 55M (or SP-55 depending on parts you choose) was a secret.. guess not. I'm building mine as the SP-55 myself.. Should be awesome!

It's on the web site and advertised as buildable either way.
Yak 55M or SP-YAK

Actually.. the canopy line and turtledeck on the SP-55 is quite different from the Yak-55M.

For me The M, Doing a build thread on it now. The M tracks Imac straight, but will 3D like a juka. The rudder is super effective with very little tail movement when feeding slight correction s for an Imac routine. We were doing hands off knife edge walls and it was amazing. harrier rolls do not tend to drift to the right or left, you ontrol direction.Realy nice plane!

Michael, there's not a second version as in different kit, there is only one kit. It's a super duper fall 2fer!

You have the choice when you get the kit of the SP or the M the pieces are included for either. They have slightly different canopy and rudder.

I have a fresh bottle of DW BSI foam safe and am starting my build tonight.

Well my prop saver gave way in flight, throwing the propeller, slightly damaging the front with a nick or two and loosening the canopy upon landing as well as some slightly cracked foam on the bottom of the juka. But I always knew that part would crack. And my motor mount came off. Time to glue!
