^You can still run the 55" on 3s, it's all about how you setup your power system

BUT, if you're going to get something larger, then for sure go with a 48" kit. I can't really vouch for anything other than the Extra 330 48", but I can say at ~28oz, it ROCKED, and always went with me. I wound up flying it so hard that it (looked like it) exploded in the air, and down it went in about 50 pieces.

I think for my next one that i'm going to go with a 48" Juka, just because I like the lines of it a bit more than the extra

Thanks, Daniel. I saw both of your videos, and kinda suspected that (and while I only replied above to Michael's video, the comments were meant for both of you guys...you're both really good).

Another question, is, have any of you ever added any sort of an air brake system on to the ailerons? I know that is more for indoors, and it seriously drops your high speed passes, but I've flown a Piaget with them on outside all the time, and actually love how it responds with power off in a dive. I'm assuming the counter balance tabs on the Extra 330 wing does a similar thing in a rolling dive with power off.

Yes the counter balances do slow it down a lot. If you want to do any precition get the 300 wing w.o them.

I just completed an order for the 48" Yak 54. Planning on putting a 40A Turnigy ESC and a Turnigy 35-42C (sorry, correcting this) 1100Kv motor I already have in this. I think I'll try a 12x6 or maybe a 13x5, if I can find one. Also ordered 4x HS-65HB's. Have a couple 2000-2650mAh 3S Zippys, so we'll see how that goes.

i am joing too just ordered the 28 inch yak!!! now the wait. i have a park 250 for power and dyman 47 servos should be nice and light,, oh a assorment of batteries.only problem not very good with art so the sharpie thing is out for me unless there is some tracing avaliable??? thats a good idiea as a write???

Here is my Gen-X junior with a little bit of paint on it. It has a Turnigy 2204-14T on it and it flies great. I also have a Juka junior still in the bag, can't wait to build it. My DW 38" Yak is my favorite foamy.

Nice! I love my 38"ers too. I have a 28" on the way though. I am going to do some pond flying with it. I did it with the 38" last spring but the pond is in the woods and the trees come clear up to the water so there is not much room. Can't wait till Spring!

ive been flying for DW for about 3 years and i love it
mike is defintly a good guy, helps me out a lot
and ive pretty much flown every plane he makes so feel free to ask questions

Could you please explain how you used your watt meter to measure the max servo amp draw?

The same way you would use it to measure motor amps. Since the BEC is also drawing from the flight battery, it will show up on the watt meter what the servos are drawing. 0.6 amps for 4 servos would be 0.15 amps per servo, which I don't know if that's high or not.
