Any ESC can have a BEC failure without affecting the motor speed. That failure could be simply enough of a voltage drop to brown out or reboot the RX which would cause a temporary control lockout.

It could have been the ESC.

The motor was stuck at the position which I was flying when it lost control which was a little less than half throttle. But all the servos centered. I didn't check if the plane could be controlled again after the crash because I ran over to it and unplugged the battery.

Sounds like the receiver lost connection with the transmitter either through the oft-blamed "brownout"(The BEC voltage drops too much for the receiver to function), through a poor transmitted signal, or interference. I'd be sure to check the radio setup thoroughly before trying to launch again. Be sure your BEC can handle the current the servos will draw.

The servos centering means that the receiver went into fail-safe mode.

It's been a while since I've been on here and I just wanted to post a short video from this last weekend. This was totally unplanned and unpracticed, but I was blessed to win the PCFC Night-Fly Freestyle contest with my younger brother Joshua's 38" Juka. :-) Joshua also flew it and got 3rd place.

Hope you guys enjoy it!

Final changes on my 330 pro,Im using a lighter motor now. Before with Hacker A20-34s it had insane power but it was a little to heavy for this airframe(works awesome on the raven sense its bigger). Now im using the Cobra 2204/32,its 0.23 oz less than the A20-34s and it has more power than the A10-9L.

A10-9L:weight 0.70 oz 75 watts
A20-34s:weight 1.02 oz 100 watts
2204/32:weight 0.79 oz 90 watts

PS. im really starting to get into the mag wire

I also had a mid-air with a little champ at the last indoor while I was doing a nose down hover.Funny thing was that it was only us two flying and 10 seconds before the guys behind him told him"dont hit santi" and he said "i wont,i dont think my plane would survive that" and then bam he hits my prop with his wing.nothing happend to me(motor didnt even notice it) but he lost half of his wing.I landed right away to help him out.we both just laught about it all night.

i still have some yellow paint in my prop lol
