Yep, lights all over a 55" will be awesome.

I wonder, tho...a bigger ship like this...would she have the same snap & pop as the 48" Juka (assuming Dynamo power on both)?

Also- would you run 4S on the 55"?

My piloting skills are not worthy of this plane or the music but I am learning

The Juka 40 does Lake Chelan (3 min 21 sec)

Nice video Mark, you are getting 3D and some smooth lines with that Juka. How you like it? If she's going to the canopy on KE, try a 10-15% rudder-down elev mix.

When the foamies get this big, they slow way down, so high energy moves are limited. The 40" foamies I think are best for rowdy flying.

But then again, I haven't flown a 55 for a while. and yes a 4S setup should give it some slam!

I'm going to run a pair of 2S 2500 in series for 4S 2500, one on each side. The reason is to keep balance on the plane.

Thanks John, I really like this flyer! It is a solid platform to learn 3D on and it is really easy to move smooth. I'm still lookin for the CG sweet spot and in this particular video I had moved the CG back a bit too much and it really affected Hover (poorly) and KE.

BTW, did you hear the motor at the begining? Disturbing. I'll have a new one this week after I get home on Wednesday (Now I'm in Palm springs where it is only 108 Deg!).

Cheers!

I gotta hand it to Mike. The 40" Depron Juka simply rocks. I put in 6 packs today and they were flawless. It hovers basically hands off at 40% throttle and will torque roll in a hover simply by using only left aileron without any elevator or rudder corrections. I am now a big believer in HS-65MG servos. I also did my first full KE inside circle today

I've had the same plane for a while now and it really is a super plane. You will be pulling off tricks you didn't think possible in no time with the Juka. I like doing rudder drags in water and on land with mine. I have even landed mine upside down (yes on purpose) a few times just for the fun of it.

I'm really thinking about a 48" Juka or Extra now.

FINALLY got about 10 packs thru the 48" Juka this w/e and here's what I can report:

WOWEE!!!!!

What a brilliant model, in both design & execution. Mike/DWF really got a winner. For me, the key is how the power system is so closely tuned to the model: too much power can mean a twitchy model; to little = poor response. The Dynamo power & prop are pitch- perfect. Brilliant!!

Now Flop as to the 55" Juka: will the Dynamo motor take 4S (50A) ESC? I have a buttload of 4S/ 2650 mah batts I use in my Carbon Z Yak. Guees I can ask Mike but if I can get a 55 w/o having to get new batts I may well pull the trigger.
