LOL. You'll seeeeeeee .....through....lol.

Another thing I like to do is pinstripe around your pattern on the top with black marker. I like to leave a little white gap on the pinstriping.

LOL, I always pinstripe light colers... And I have already "seen" being that i have had 3 or 4 yellow planes before, including a 38" Juka. They are fine, as long as you put somthing darker with it, and give it a good outline.

Looking forward to having some fun and not be under pressure like I am with balsa planes. Anything interesting I should know about the 40 incher? I got the 40" dynamo power combo and hs-55s from tower. Going to Lowes this weekend to get some welders glue. Murph
Got the plane today, but only had time to open it and look at it and thats about it, I had to head off to work. I am dumbfounded by how fast the shipping was. Shipping label was printed and scanned on 22nd at 22:48 and it got all the way to middle georgia at noon today the 24th wow.
I am going to use permanent markers to color in a job similar to the red 126" AJ Slick from 3dhs, with a few changes from the wife. Looking forward to getting her in the air.

You'll really like the 40" for sure. It's a great airframe.

Other than the build comments, I haven't been posting as often as I used to, but i wanted to chime in on the 40" 300L.

What an awesome plane. I have been flying the hinges off it and totaly thirlled.
Kind of odd in a way, but all of my DW planes fly great, I haven't pounded any of them in a looong time and they just keep on going and going and going.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, DW kits are some of the best you can buy and fly!!!

Weather and work slowed me down a little but hopefully I'll have the 48" GenX done this evening and providing nature dosen't drop another 6 inches of rain here, maiden tomorrow or Saturday

Will I have any issues with flight power on the 40" juka using the dynamo power system with these batteries?
Outrage NRG 800mAh 35C
Hyperion 850mAh CX 25/45C
I plan on getting some larger batteries soon, but if these will work ok, ill just burn these up, I have four of each.

Those will be just fine and you won't need anything more, good for 6 to 9 minuet flights depending on your style.

sweet thanks for the info. Sux about the rain over your way I was watching the weather earlier and they were talking about some serious amounts of rain for you. We are supposed to get bad weather on Monday and Tuesday here in Georgia, just about the time I might be ready to fly.

So what's the recommendation now a days for glue? Foam safe CA or welders glue for building the plane?

Welders glue will melt the Depron. Use Foam Safe CA/DW PVA glue in the DW glue kit- also use the tape in there too

I'm with Xpress on the glue choices, although I di do mine with Foam safe CA.

Everything on the airframe is FS CA except I use 30 minuet Expoxy to mount the firewall ply to foam and firewall to the airframe, then CA for the Triangle pieces.

Works for me quite well.

I have built a couple using PVA instead and frankly I can't say I really have noticed any differnece even in crash situations.
