Also, gotta tape a nickel or something on the opposite wingtip at the lipo. Noticed that when inverted it couples to that side, and only that side- no flex in the elevator either.
If you have the chance, could you open it up and take a further look? PC board, bad solder joint, or connection, etc.

If not I understand, I tend to toss some, but I have been running these Corona Digitals in a 100mph FunJet and that has me concerned.

Thanks.

Yeah, i'll pop them open and do a little digging. Someone suggested that there might be a bad solder connection on the inside from all of the installation/removal work.

Anyways, I DOUBT I will fly today, which means I gotta wait to maiden my 48" Extra 330. The power system runs hot in 90*F weather- it will go nuclear in this 108*F heat (the easterly winds probably aren't helping)

Stay inside guys, no need to burn up a power system today

111 where I was today. Actually it was 113, but I wasn't able to take a pic until it 'cooled' to 111.

Wow. That is just too hot for me... I can handle the cold but when it gets to around 80* I just have a hard time! I guess it is just what we are used to.

I have been beating the _ out of my 40" Juka! I have been figuring some things out with it that I didn't know planes could do These things are just way to much fun I will post a video in a few days.

Yeah, he seems to know the right amount of color to put on your guys' planes. They always seem to have the right touch of it

But don't build anything either. I found out that foam safe CA stops being foam safe once my garage gets over 100.

That's no good! So what does it do? Does it just melt the foam like non-foam safe? Being that my shop is all concreat and half underground I don't think that I will have to worry about that

Yes, just like ordinary CA. It took me awhile to figure this out since I'd start building in the morning, cutting, painting, fuselage assembling etc. everything looking fine. Then, as the day wears on and it's time for the finishing touches (control horns, CA hinges, etc.) the foam around new glue points turns glassy and useless. Finally after 2 unsuccessful aileron horn installations, requiring cutting out the bad section around the horn and reinstalling the CA hinge and G10 horns, I waited until 8:00PM for a 3rd attempt in the much more comfortable 90 degree night air and that worked.

Interesting.. It seems like CA reacts differently in high temperatures (above 100*F) then it does below. Does this mean regular CA will become foam safe at those temperatures?

I don't think I'll have to worry about that problem though, my basement workshop tends to stay cool, even in the 110* heat of yesterday. The thermometer said about 82 inside, which felt like AC

Yipeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! Got my 48" back in the air

Couple things that I need to work on tomorrow:

1. Need to take the elevator servo off, clean the POT off, and put it back together. It doesn't want to return to center until a second or two after, so I'm betting on that being the POT.

2. Going to switch to using the precision wings without the counterbalances. I have a feeling those will keep my downline speeds in check

3. GET MORE BATTERIES!!!!
