Building a Mig 21 from plan
This is a 1/8 scale Mig 21. I find the plan on Ebay. Not much informations here?:
. No CG , fixed gears and for an IC ducted fan . But perfect for a TJ 100 on 10-12 cells. I ad the formers laser cut...Next time I will do that myself because the company made so many mistake. ![]() I started by making the intake duct . Discs of pink foam in between two templates , hot wire and cover with Monokote ...wax and PVA. + .75 oz fiberglass and a 6 oz. reenforce with carbon tow. The out-take tube is made of card paper and I will add Mylar later. I made a jig and I started planked the fuse with 1/8 strips of medium balsa . Very long and therapeutic job . So far , removed the fuse from the jig and I'm planking the bottom. Scratching my head for placement of hatch and plumbing for retract etc... The challenging part is the front retract and more . To follow... 18/01/10 Ok I received the retract. I was able to buried the air tank in the tail. I finished planking and sanded....etetetectera I finish the foam nose and the cone in pink foam .I will cover those with fiber first and I will install and build the rudder.....
