What do you want to do with it?
Are you more interested in it looking like a real car, or just straight up crawling ability?
Do you plan on competeing with it?
What type of radio gear do you have already?
The best out of the box crawlers are:
Losi Comp Crawler (for cometitions)
Axial SCX-10 (for sclae looks and bashing)
Losi Night Crawler (for RTR crawling ability)
Axial SCX-10 Trail Ready (RTR scale crawler)
If you're looking to build an all out comp rig your best bet is to go with a Enroute Berg with an aftermarket chassis and a bunch of other stuff.
Get on RCcrawler.com and look in the local section and see what other people in your area are running.

What is your goal for your crawler?
In the "lower price" range, the Venom looks pretty good.
I own a 1/5 scale super class crawler named the "Killer Krawler" it is very capable and a bit of a show piece (very pricy but well worth it).
Every single person I have shown it to wants one (True).

I have a lcc that has been way modded and i love it but when it was stock it was still amazing, so for comps get a losi. get the comp crawler if you like to tinker with everything, or get the night crawler if you just want to go. But if your into looks get the axial scalers.
