Hyperion G3 CX 130mAh 25C UM LiPoly

I've been testing this new Hyperion stock type ultra-micro pack over the past week.

RTF weight: 3.94g

Like other Hyperion G3 cells, it can be fast charged @ 5C rates.

Hyperion recommends first 5 charges @ 3C.

5C charges in approx 15-17min.

It's designed to fit both Eflite and Kyosho models without mods.

The UM130 has been a perfect combo in my mSR heli.
Light & Powerful.

I've flown almost every small cell made in this heli, and the Hyp UM130 is by far my favorite.
Finally I have the power without the weight penalty that the mSR needs.

Next test will be in my power hungry UM Sukhoi w/P51 motor.

Fits the stock mSR battery holder perfectly.

Holds it's power until the last 5 sec of flight.

On indoor flights, I've never had an ending cell temp over 88deg.

Comes off fast charge at 75°~76°.

Flight times started at 7min and continued to improve to 8+min in the mSR.

The UM 130 should be at dealers worldwide around February 1st.

Edit: Retail price will be $7.95

Edit: Pics added.

Anyone try these?

Has anyone tried these 180mah 1s batteries? fit all parkzone micros and can also go on blade MSR...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Parkzone-Sukhoi-...item414b94af45

The graph's they show have it out performing the hobbyking 240mah 1s
They seem to be coming from the UK.

IF they are good, maybe someone can source and stock these in the US for faster shipping times.

He is not looking to do distibutorship but at about 8$ shipped to US, they are a good deal, and yes, his claims appear to be true. At 4.9 grams and punchier than the 240s, this could be the battery to have. My buddy has 24 on the way.. will give a report when they arrive.. And if they are good, we need to support these guys because they, according to story, started small business venture JUST to produce a superior plug and play battery for our micro applications. Cheerio!

actually i believe the graph is vs zippy's not hyperions.. also its their graph so it doesnt mean a lot (but lets say we trust it - their battery is still looking very good)
hyperions are 25C and drop voltage at the end of the flight time usually (they're good lol)

I think that the second graph here: http://miniaviation.com/products.html is against a 240Mah battery that could be the Hyperions

From the miniaviation site...

"The middle line is a 240mah 20C rated cell."

That must be the Zippy 240.
As we know, the Zippy 240 isn't really a 240mAh cell.
Tests show it to be in the 165-170mAh size at best.

Hyperion G3 cells are rated at 25C/45C

it is indeed the zippy 240 that he's testing against. i exchanged some PM's with the guy who is selling these (he's a member here, but i forget his name). he had specifically mentioned doing testing against that zippy cell.

personally, I'd just like to get hold of some of these with no connectors to make up 2s packs for my sukhoi

Hi guys,

To to clear up on the results 180's.

The test were run against the zippies, but i didn't plaster that over the graphs etc. If you noticed i also put claimed in brackets agaist their figures. Like you say the the 240's are more like a 170-185 (latest i have that arrived just before xmas are a little better than the order i got in Oct. I've redone my graph to show it against the best 138 and 240 i've found in my collection as i've been testing. I've got new discharger and test leads etc and this new graph has been produced on the new kit. Should be up on the website over the weekend.I've also included a PZ 110 mah on it to.

There should be a few report hopefully from users on here who have had some to try.

Delivery to the US and Australia is about 4-5 days. If anyone has ordered of our website in the last week we had a little server issue. I have to appologise they only got shipped yesterday. Those who waited more than a few days have a little extra in there parcel to say sorry for the delay.

Check out the ebay feedback, not a scientific test, but sounding good so far.

Bit more history if your interested. My background for years has been as an Engineer in Motorsport and through various projects i got involved with companies involved in design of electric vehicles (full size). This then led onto working with a scientific company that produces the science test equipment used in the the design and manufacture of Li-Po and other cell types (still do this and we also have a small racing car mail order site).

I've been into RC since i was 10 mainly cars (racing at national and club level). I'd not flown for a few years but when the new micro models came out i was hooked. When i got the Sukhoi i found the standard cells didn't cut the mustard. I did the usual google search etc for something better and found this forum, i tried the 138's but wasn't impressed. So after not finding what i wanted to buy i knew where to go to get it made.

We have them with no connector, these will go on the site soon, but if your in a hurry drop me a pm.
