Ok, I finally designed my own plane. Its a predator Drone with KF airfoil. It flew really nice, but i didn't put nearly enough control surface onto the 60" wings, so down she ended up going. I'll be repairing and trying again. Gotta love foam. Its a BluCor wing, Foamcore fuse, with a solid EPS nose that doesn't hold up well on crashes. LOL!

Hey, great plane! Congrats to good maiden. Your ailerons would be sufficient, if you'd put them close to wingtips, to have more leverage. Way you had it, they caused more drag than roll . You could make flaps from them, and cut new set of ailerons at the wingtips .

Richard is right, your ailerons look big enough but the farther you can get them from the fuse the more effective they will be. Nice maiden though.

I don't blame you. Not because I'm all full of myself, but because plans for Predator drones don't seem to exist. I searched and searched, and finally gave up and designed my own from 3-views. Paul, from the RC Foam Fighters has already agreed to make some plans, once I get it flying right. Hopefully, that'll be this weekend. And by the way.....

The way that took off, I was half expecting to see loops and rolls later on.
Very nice maiden, up to the crash. But, really, the damage wasn't too harsh from such a nose in. Certainly may be an idea to strengthen from wings to nose with something, unless the points it broke at saved components from stresses.

In the meantime, I plan on finishing the repairs and mods tonight, then trying to fly it again tomorrow morning. I also made a prototype of the taller nose style, but didn't like the way it turned out, however, for a forward facing camera rig, it might have better potential.
In any case, sit tight, I plan on posting plans, as soon as I know the ailerons are the right size.
I also have concerns about landings. Its only landed once so far, and went poorly, LOL. But what about that lower rudder? It may need to be removed, or I may need to make some landing gear. it still has a way to go, but maybe we could get some preliminary plans out, then update them later with tweaks?

Very nice .... I'm interested in seeing this fly again.... you might (try for the sake of keeping it simple) full length ailerons...

what power setup r u useing?i think you should post the plans any way and let the builder do the tweaks.Mabey you could make that lower rudder magnetic.

How about a wire guard around the rudder?
