Motor recommendation!
Hello,
I'm just starting to get into electric foam planes, after seeing a few at an indoor event. I've been flying nitro for many years on and off, and wanted to try electric. I downloaded the plans for Foamyfactory's mini 3DX and have the plane almost ready, what a difference in working with foam as opposed to balsa (much faster and cleaner ).I'm not sure which motor would be best. I'd like to be able to fly it outdoors and indoors. Can you please suggest a motor/esc/2 or 3 cell lipo. I'm looking at one of the Rimfire line, 300, 370 or 400. http://www.electrifly.com/motors/gpmg4505.html Or maybe you have other suggestions. Thanks, Buzzy |

Well, here's some more info:
Class: Indoor/Light Outdoor Wingspan: 33" AUW: 6-8oz. You can see it half way down this page: http://www.foamyfactory.com/ Thanks, Buzzy |

I have the Motrolfly 2205-1350 (28g) on my EPP Yak 55 (7oz) from www.subsonicplanes.com and it's great power/weight. Also, looks like they have a 2203-1350 (17.5g) that is new and works well for 4-10oz models.
SubsonicPlanes will also have quick shipping and great service if you're nervous about Hobbycity shipping/service. |
