Think I lost the right rear motor.....the solder joint came loose....could have been the impact that did that though. I have other arms so Ill fix it tomorrow and see if I can figure it out.

So I was having a reoccuring problem with my Zephyr2; a very severe motor vibration that would come and go. SOmetimes it was at half throttle, other times only at full throttle. The motor would vibrate so hard and fast I thought it was going to rip out the foam. I replaced the shaft, tried two new collets, and balanced the hell out of the prop but nothing fixed it.

The other day I had an epiphany; the distance from the motor to the prop was too long. Coupled with the soft foam around the motor mount, it amplified even the slightest imbalance. I cut almost 1/2 an inch off of the motor shaft, which put the back of the collet almost against the motor. Now, the whole system is so smooth throughout the entire throttle range. Problem solved! Lets Fly!!

I have a scratch-built wing built very similar to those paintball wings. Waiting for my RVOSD to come back from repair though.

Yup. It actually flew once after you left. Back on the bench I weighed the lead we put on...150gr.
Just so happens that my fpv cam and gopro weigh 150gr.
Needed one more camera is all.

spent the weekend at e-week spreading the FPV kool-aid. Took alot of great video, gave probably 20 or more rides, and spent quite a bit of time fielding all the questions. Should have some good video later in the week...had a very near miss with a edf flying LOS but got a great shot.
