New Product
Flight with Joystick!!! CompuFly USBtoPPM Converter Now avail on STOCK!

Hi Everyone,

This is last project of this year

I designed USB to PPM generator, this device generating PPM signals like TrainerBox for your Transmitter.
This mean, you can fly with your PC joystick or your own software based autopilot(if you can develope your software)

Features;
  • DirectX Based Joystick interface
  • 9 channel PPM generator with compatible all RC Transmitters
  • Cunfigurable PC based driver software for all joysticks or keyboard features.
  • Point of View stick suport for looking around without headtracker(like simulation games)
  • External plugin support for PC based autopilot applications
  • Compatible with all Windows versions

This is my test joystick

This is USB PPM generator device's inside

This is genrated 9 channel positive PPM signal(it can generate negative also)

And this is finished product's outside. It is similar size with USB stick and including 1.5 meter cable for your transmitter. I will sell it with compatible plugs for Futaba,Hitec, Jr, Multiplex, Sanwa, Airtronics, ESky.

I just finished that and i'm going to new year party,
Happy ney year!!!

Melih

AWESOME!!!!!! I have a Saitek Cyborg evo and Logitech extreme 3D PRO. Will this software work for both of those joysticks?

What your saying if I am correct is that I can use my Logitech force 3D Pro with your adapter to fly my plane outside instead of using the Transmitter
Sorry if this sound's a n0ob question

Hi Guys

I will answer your questions on same row.

USB-PPM generator compatible with all Joysticks because software using DirectX for connecting with your joystick. I bought a DirectX component for that, Just connect your joystick and configure it for channels. Rudder, x,y,z , point of view, button sand trottle, all options will work

Price will be under 100$ but i'm not sure how much. I'm waiting for Futaba Plugs from Japan.

@Simon, yes you will use your transmitters RF module only. Or you can connect RF Module on the directly this device and just give the power. It will work without your transmitter's body.
This is best option for making a ground station box without standart transmitter

What is the resolution, please? My current USB-PPM box has 8 bits and I find it a bit not enough...

Maximum resolution is 16 bit 256 times higher than 8 bit but it is useless, i reduced it for 10 bit. It is default value of transmitters.

Have you any suggestion and info about your system? I'm planning to using it with external softwares like autopilot etc. I was designed computer based telemetry system, maybe someone use this 2 system for making pc based autopilot.

Not considered this aspect until now, my first goal was to fly as close to cockpit experience. Is me who must have fun, not the AP
Unfortunatelly not all of us can allocate so much time as you for the hobby. And deliver news in this incredible tempo.

Ok, so let me wrap my head around this ... I buy a Joystick and a futaba PPM tx module and I'm ready to go? Would this also work with, say, a PS3 joypad? What about mixing? (e.g. elevons, flaps, crow)

The mixing is done by the software between the joystick and the USB-PPM box.
In fact, mine, whose picture was posted in the other thread, emulates all the logic / programming of an Eclipse 7. Including trims, subtrims, models save/ load (unlimited), mixers (unlimited), everything, and of course, much more, any curve on any input / channel you want, sky is the limit, lol...

Please consider the price under 50 USD if you want to be competitive to some vendors.

Well, in this case, if you gave that hint, let the curtain drop
There is such box for long time, there are already projects posted here, it is called PCTx, and is what I am using in my project.
Its cost is posted by tty044 above, but... without absolutely no software ! You must write your own application to use it !
There is an app sold separately for $99, ServoCommander which is intended to map channels to the control widgets, whatever they are, not only joysticks, includes support for HT too, basic mixing, etc. So the combo price is $150 actually.
The problem is that this box doesn't issue the best quality PPM, and here Melihk I hope can make a difference.

... and the box requires a transmitter AND a PC to work.

Joystick => PC => PCTx => Tx

From what I understand:

Joystick => MelihK magic => Tx module

that would be awesome!
