built my first li-poly packs, how do you test them?

just built my first e-tec 1200 li-poly packs, used rosin cored solder for the - terminals and solder.it aluminium paste for the + terminals.
i'm never to confident and like to tripple check what i do, so how do you check your packs befor shrink wraping them, i was thinking of a 5-6 amp load as they are 3s packs could i use a 12v light bulb say a 60w for a car. 60/12 = 5 amps is this correct, or would it be better to use my triton to discharge them at max amps
which is only 3 amps, not much of a test !!

e-tec's are capable of around a 6C discharge rate so 1200s would give you 7.2 amps Max
