This week I made up the seat and got it fitted on. Also got the side rails of the fuse glued up. Was also able to make the six pulleys needed for the elev. and rudder cables. Hope to get some work done on it this sunday.

Thanks for the info Steve. Looks like they could have made a new one from scatch faster than fixing that one up. The wing pictures help me out with some of the details on the root rib section. Going to start on my wing this weekend.

Here's my weekly update. Finished up the ski for the fuse and added the brass bracket. Also got started on the wing Sunday after a day of flying at the slope. Once I get all the parts together the wings should finish up pretty fast.

Here is a update for the SG-38 build.
I have most of the 1st wing done. Just need to add some cross braces and wing tips. The plans do not call out for the wing braces but with the clear covering it is a must have for the scale look. For the wing tips the kit calls out for a balsa block carved to shape but I was going to try to use 1/64 ply over some ribs like the full scale wing. As all modelers have done I got side-tracked for a couple weeks on another project. I hope to finish the wings up in a couple weeks and move on to the controls.

No, It is not finished but it looking pretty good so far. I have the wings almost done just need to add the ply to the LE and wing tips. Also need to add some cross brackets that you can see through covering. The past week or so I have been working on the rudder bar assembly. It is almost done just need to add the foot pads and cable mounts. As you can see I have moved it out into the big workshop now that it much warmer out. Hope to see you guys next week in LASS.
