Both are good servos, there are a bunch of others in the 3.5-5g area, some good some not so good. Most of the sub 3.5g servos I've tried have some centering problems. I've also had pretty good luck with the HXT 500s from Hobby City at less than $4 each.

Not really for parkflyers, but you should know about these;

I've had dozens of HS-55' and 50's, but replaced most of them with GWS Pico 6g servos, because they last much longer, don't strip out very easy, don't weigh as much as a 55 and are real smooth. Dymond 4.7's are nice as well, but pricy.

I like the little S-60 servos from Horizon for very light foam planes. Never had a problem with mine.

You will be happy with the HXT500's. I have used them and their older, slightly heavier (4g heavier only) cousin, the HXT900 and the 500 is actually faster, more responsive and better centering.

The S-60 is a good servo.

Just another opinion but I have not had good results with the s60's. They jitter an center poorly IMO.

That said - this servo is a ROCK STAR!

JR 185's Fast and light....

Guys, I have been on several websites, foreign and domestic sellers!? and,I have to tell you to examine the case. Most, not everyone, is made by the same manufacturerer. So, that being said,examine the case and not the brand sticker. Its all about price vs. proformance. Anyone here can agree with this. I have bought China and Stateside servos, the same internals but with a 30% price difference. The stateside guys know who the competation is, and are getting better. I have found the stateside big guys are getting better agreements on their servos. You get what you pay for. But the down and dirty, sell it for the bare minimum guys cant, wont, have the same exculusive agreeement.Do your homework and be carefull!!!!! The same laws that apply in the states do not in China! They can "substitute some s#^% and you arent going to get the real deal. As usual, Buyer beware. The best.
