Since They decided to go with Apple rather than Androide.... an IPod/Pad app with actual HUD readout, not looking like a racing car dash, with audio read out in the app. Include in the app additional timers, sound bit preflight check, flight routine prompts, etc, so that user then has choice of ear bud or speaker audio from the IPod/Pad.

Since these external devices have good processing power may as well off load some if this sort of informational data to one of them instead of a lap top.

No...one...is...listening.

Hitec themselves do not read this thread and there hasn't been a firmware update for over a year. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like there will never be a v1.09

I love my A9 but the lack of improved firmware is lamentable.

Especially when something as basic as the timers built in to the radio do not work at all. They may as well use random number generators. Pretty pathetic, is you ask me...

TBH I'm happy to make do with the current software, as the updating process is such a pita...

They're losing customer's. I am seriously considering dumping my A9 for an Airtronics. At least the timers work on those and they have good sailplane programing

+1

I think we got correct answer in my thread about Hitec's quality. The replies speak for themselves.

I'm going with either the JR XG8 or Graupner MX-20.

I see some dx18s that have been sold.

The plane setup is much better on the aurora but the 9 extra channels would sure come in handy. I was hoping the rumor of expanding the auroras channels would happen but hitec seems to have disappeared from the scene?

If I can find a good deal on a futaba 14mz I may go that way. I had one that worked great but sold it for the aurora.

Due to the lack of upgrades and support from Hitec for the Aurora 9, I have voted with my wallet and bought a used Futaba T9CAP and a set of Frsky modules and now I can do headtracking. It is like going backwards in technology but it gets the job done.

Great shame at the 9 is superb. It is about time Hitec woke up and listened to their customers.

I have a problem with the startup warning.

Since I don't have a Throttle Curve - only programmed my Heli with the Governor - this feature is not usable for me.

Flight Condition works - but "Normal" as no-warning does not work aswell, since I obviously have the Hold flight condition. Normal is a running motor allready...

So either I would need an option to switch Throttle out for Governor or change the flight phase so Hold gets no warning.
