Bluetooth GPS app for android works a treat.
If you check the forum section of the MFD website you will see some others but bt gps works so well I don't need much else.
Hope this helps.

gps coordinate of your plane on ARDUINO UNO LCD

For my back pack fpv hexacopter, I use the driver only and pick from it the gps coordinate, and send it to an arduino UNO board with lcd shield to display and keep the plane location

I put an old myflydream driver with an arduino UNO + shield in the same box

here is the code I use, gps tx connected on pin3 :

Quote:

#include <SoftwareSerial.h>
#include <LiquidCrystal.h>
#include <TinyGPS.h>

LiquidCrystal lcd(8, 13, 9, 4, 5, 6, 7);
TinyGPS gps;
#define RXPIN 3
#define TXPIN 2
SoftwareSerial nss(RXPIN, TXPIN);
void gpsdump(TinyGPS &gps);
bool feedgps();
void printFloat(double f, int digits = 2);
void setup()
{
  Serial.begin(115200);
  nss.begin(38400);
  lcd.begin(16, 2);
  //Print a message to the LCD.
  lcd.print("Elaboration");
  lcd.setCursor(0,1);
  lcd.print("coordonnees GPS");
  //We test the version of the library
  Serial.print("Testing TinyGPS library v. ");
  Serial.println(TinyGPS::library_version());
  Serial.println(sizeof(TinyGPS));
  Serial.println();
}
void loop()
{
  bool newdata = false;
  unsigned long start = millis();
  while(millis() - start < 5000){
    if (feedgps())
      newdata = true;
  }
  if (newdata)
  {
    Serial.println("Acquisition Data");
    Serial.println("————-");
    gpsdump(gps);
    Serial.println("————-");
    Serial.println();
  }
}

void printFloat(double number, int digits)

  // Handle negative numbers
  if (number < 0.0)
  {
     number = -number;
  }

  // Round correctly so that print(1.999, 2) prints as "2.00"
  double rounding = 0.5;
  for (uint8_t i=0; i<digits; ++i)
    rounding /= 10.0;

  number += rounding;

  // Extract the integer part of the number and print it
  unsigned long int_part = (unsigned long)number;
  double remainder = number - (double)int_part;

  // Print the decimal point, but only if there are digits beyond
  if (digits > 0)

  // Extract digits from the remainder one at a time
  while (digits-- > 0)
  {
    remainder *= 10.0;
    int toPrint = int(remainder);
    remainder -= toPrint;
  }
}

void gpsdump(TinyGPS &gps)
{
  float flat, flon;
  lcd.clear();
  gps.f_get_position(&flat, &flon);
  Serial.print("Lat/Long(float): ");
  printFloat(flat, 5);
  Serial.print(", ");
  printFloat(flon, 5);
  lcd.print("lat:");
  lcd.print(flat,5);
  lcd.setCursor(0,1);
  lcd.print("lon: ");
  lcd.print(flon,5);
  feedgps();
}
bool feedgps()
{
  while (nss.available())
  {
    if (gps.encode(nss.read()))
      return true;
  }
  return false;
}
I think it nice improvement of the myflydream system.

I try to fly today, but AAT Driver V3 does not work completely. When it switch on there is no lights, no Rx and GPS signlas, bluetooth device is unavailable. But tracker switched on, made a calibration.

The weather was cold today, about -20C. May be problem appear after using on this temperature. Quickly after I deploy all FPV equipment, my laptop "see" AAT device, but connection failed. After this laptop not see this device entirely.

At home I test AAT tracker and see same negative results. Now I stayed without antenna tracker.

Before I see problem with AAT Driver when try to fly at -25C outside. But at home, and with -15C outside system woks fine many times.

MyFlyDreams, helps me to resolve problem!
I resolve problem with MyFlyDreams support and my friends advice.

I changed 7805 voltage regulator to new one. Old given about 1.5v.

So a few questions? Does the MyFlydream hold last position if it loses the data signal or does it reset to a certain position? Anyone using this with the ezosd and using the Telefly just to send gps data to the tracker? How well does it update and track? I am currently using the Skylark tracker and have a few issues with it.One if you lose the downlink to the tracker it points north instead of holding last position,two the blutooth output send out their own stream of data and not just a Nema output and last when using the convert module with my ezosd it doesnt seem to track as well as it did when I was using the Skylark osd.

I am using the MyFly with the DOSD, when I loose tracking it will hold the last position. I think you can also rotate it by hand at that point, I might be wrong on that part. I rarely loose tracking, and I've been to about 5 miles, but I did just have a video transmitter start having problems with the audio channel and that was causing the lose of tracking.

I really like the MyFlyDreams and wish they would release there own OSD with return to home and auto pilot. Don't get me wrong the DOSD is great but I would like to see how the MyFly would be.

video loss during turning

Whilst I have had the MFD for nearly a year I have only played with it around the yard. I find that the video signal drops out/snowy when the tracker spins.
Anyone else have this issue? I figure it is a slipring problem but I don't want to open it up ...springs spring!
Thanks

I use the nmea from the driver for displaying the coordinates of the planes, even if it loose audio, at least I have the last coordinates.

Hey guys, I saw you were talking about the bluetooth function with the tracker. I ordered a bluetooth board when I got the tracker. I don't have any android products, just apple. I would prefer not to jailbreak anything either.

Have any of you found apple applications that work with the MFD tracker and its bluetooth board on an apple device?

Any help is greatly appreciated,
Jake

Hi Jake,

a very good app for tracking is motionx-gps. full support of online map position, record track (position, height, speed) and export via e-mail as google-earth track.

but you have to jailbrake your device and install "bt-stack gps" from cydia! without bt-stack no apple-app accepts gps-data via bluetooth.
