Didn't care for Up but it may be my mood at the time. Seemed old story line rehashed and nothing special

Kids didn't care for it either and Wife said it was sad but didn't do much else for her

After the new years celebrating tonight I put in the Hangover to watch, I had heard funny things about this movie but in my opinion it wasn't so funny.
It had some pretty good laughs but I don't recommend it unless you are a bit bored.
You'll have more fun flying a well lit night flier or starting a new kit.

Maybe I am too tired to appreciate it.

"It's Complicated" is a very good movie. Merly Streep is fantastic. Lots of laughs and a good story line.

I was disappointed as well. Too much hype maybe but you pretty much summed it for me in your post. Some good laughs but overall, meh

Recent for me, I just finished watching Enemy at the Gate.

Hearty thumbs up.
Cool that they used what appeared to be the real thing in sniper and infantry weapons.
Just recently had my first chance to take one apart and do a close examination and hope to shoot it tomorrow.

Okay I shot a few rounds through that gun today and I am quite impressed with it.
Peals of thunder and quite accurate with open sights at 100 yards.

Watched the Half Blood Prince this weekend. Maybe I missed something but it seemed it ended very lack luster. It never grabbed me by the boo boo like the others and left me waiting for the big scene

Just finished watching The Reader.
Very good film and a thumbs up from me.

Warning ... there is both nudity and a couple sex scenes, plus you will cry.

I watched it in the theater and loved it.
Watched it at home and paused it a few times to make popcorn etc.
Still I liked it, perhaps because I've seen all the others and kind of know all the characters by now.

Sherlock Homes was quite good. Made the old chap a real stud in that one. Not once did he have on that stupid cap and oversized pipe.

Well since the wife and kid wouldn't go see The book of Eli with me (thumbs up by me) I took them to see Leap Year.

It was pretty good, lots of laughs and some pretty scenery but it was a total chick flick...
There was only one other guy in the theater besides me.
And the girls kept applauding and texting on their cell phones.
I give it a thumbs up with a warning that you may be the only guy when you go.

Avatar was still selling out and had big lines.

I agree on the half blood prince. It was supposed to be about a prince who grew up, but in the end, I never liked him and still wouldn't want him to be my leader. Also the whole, we are kids and grew up and are now kids again just did not work in the theater. That's probably something that only works in books.

Saw Moon last night. Pretty good and I like the main character a lot (Galaxy Quest). It was a bit predictable though. Not sure about the robot/computer making decisions on its own but overall a good watch
