Recent movies.... Thumbs up or Thumbs down.

I give The Princess & The Frog a big thumbs up.
We watched it tonight and Disney brought back the magic.

Watched the latest Terminator tonight (Salvation) just wasn't as good as the first ones.
Still I give it one up one down. I love Sci Fi.

I see the novelist who wrote No country for old men get a lot of praise but his stories don't seem to start,go, or end anywhere.
I have the road on audio book and read children of god. Both seem to have the same dilemma, although I will go see the road when it hits $3 movie theater, I just love Post-apocalyptic.

Agree on "no country for old men"....
The movie leaves you with that "now what?" feeling...
thumbs down...

Big thumbs up for Star Trek, loved it !

"Public enemies" ( Johnny Depp as John Dillinger ) was so-so....
The movie received a lot of hype, and the trailers looked like it would be very good, but it was disappointing, imho.

My daughter dragged me into "New Moon", and it was ok, but not a movie which I will watch again anytime soon.

sidenote :
Yesterday I finally got around to watching Stanley Kubrick's "Clockwork Orange" ... I am at a loss as to why this movie has been praised so much.....

Night at the Museum 2

2 thumbs way down. Aside from the tight pants Amy Adams wore it had zero redeeming qualities

My sentiments exactly. what was the point of the movie. there is no way that i could possibly feel bad for the main character... he was a frickn' serial killer, who 'loved the ultra-violence" for heavens sake.

I liked startreck- good movie
I also like the hangover- saw that one with a few friends in theaters.

Angels and Demons 2 Thunbs WAY WAY WAY DOWN. HORRIBLE! why on earth would you change the story line of such a great book? I mean how hard is it to follow what has already been written in INK?

I liked the latest Star Trek. New blood for the franchise. I here they've cast a new Uhura for the next one.

Some people will never be able to "get" the book Catch 22,
.....the movie A Clockwork Orange has a similar problem.

I think of them as just not for everyone. There are lots of things I don't get, ....Hip Hop, diet soda, American Idol. I don't dismiss their value, I just move on.

Star Trek, excellent.

District 9, even better.

Only two I can remember. I still need to see Surrogates and I'll see Avatar too.

Another District Nine fan. The transformation of the main character was awesome. Not the turning into a bug but his persona. Well acted

I very much liked No Country for Old Men, but I've never really been one for the happy ending type of movies. And even though I'm not a Sci-Fi guy, I really likes the new Start Trek as well (now that I've seen it a second time).
