Model Aero at E-Fest!!!

Jim, we're looking forward to the 2010 E-Fest and Model Aero has some new planes on the board and we'll debut at least one at E-Fest and possibly two.

Guys, if you have the chance to attend E-Fest, do it. It is a fantastic event!

Scott

Already registered. Not going to miss this one ever again, well when I die I will, but till then, not going to happen, neither rain, snow, sleet, shall keep me from my destination. While getting home was a bugger one year, blizzard plus, not going to happen.

Bringing some small stuff, not going to try the Aero Cat indoors. No way.

This will be another one of those memorable events.
Name tags, prizes, just lots of fun and soooo many airplanes and helies. If you are not there, you won't believe what happens.

Going to be my first year there... so far I only got an Ember and Sukhoi to bring to fly... thinking about building something from scratch to play around with... any ideas? maybe something that I could try to participate in the Pylon and combat with?

Welcome to RC Groups, and build something disposable for combat.
Don't put much in it, just so it will fly and hit something. You will be one of many who will fly combat. It is a hoot to watch. I have never flown in combat.
Now Pylon is another neat event. Scott has built 4 or 5 planes for Andrew and so far, none have made it beyond about 3 laps.

I am going for sure. I just don't know if I will bring anything to fly. I see for combat we are restricted to 2.4. Is that for everything? I am still running 72 mhz gear.
Either way it is a great show!!!

Check out some of Leadfeather's designs... I will be bringing my PBF and a few Fireflys. I'm hoping to get my pix in the Model Maz with my Mario Cart. I love his stuff and their easy to build...

I used the PBF for the combat last year - I was one of the last 15 in the air!

Jim,

I was thinking how sweet it would be to get a Fly cam2 onboard for the combat this year. If you can pull some strings (i.e. buy one for me to use on my plane...)

The combat has a Max weight with battery of 10 oz.
I have already paid for vendor tables and pilot entry.
Can wait to do combat again this year.

10 oz weight limit is for combat. I think you can fly 72 without any trouble. Combat is limited to 2.4.

I think anything over a pound would be hard to fly in the Armory, at least for me.
Most of the planes are very light, or so they seem. The 3D demos are awesome. I looked for a weight limit, couldn't find any, but Frank will let us know. I know the JR Indoor has a 16 oz limit or there about.

Gee, I wonder why Got my hotel reservations this morning. Always look forward to this event. Bringing more EPP planes this year and leaving the Depron at home.
