How did your P-40 perform?

Not bad. A little underpowered with the stock lipo, but still totally flyable. Got two flights in yesterday. Going to replace the Tamiya connectors with Deans and will use some higher C lipos for better performance.

But the retracts worked great and I'm happy with the kit overall. Not bad for $170.

My check sent with registation back in October has not been cashed and I have received no confirmation so I sent Aaron an E-mail today and sent in a second check and registration form. On line registration would be a plus if possible for next year. US postal service mangled some envelops I sent in November to friends and a couple with CDs were not delivered and now it appears they lost my registration letter as well from October. Mike Heer

One of the items we dicussed at the last meeting was online registrations starting for the 2011 event.

And typically, all registration fees are held until the event and not deposited (I think). So it is quite possible Aaron got your first one.

Aaron got my first one and I learned that after mailing my second one which he will destroy when it is received. I am bringing my Toledo Special, My ParkZone T-28, My E-flite P-40 and my ParkZone Radian. Dick and I still hope to have our WoW B-17 there but we got to get our act together to get her done. Mike H

I think the 4 plane per pilot on the flight line is an absolute must. Think about it... pilot registration is capped at 200... how many planes is that if everyone brings just 4? We will need a full scale airport for all of those!

Last year, the event was held right about the time when the was hitting the fan and we had pretty/very good turnout. Of course that was 2 or 3 whole percents LESS national unemployment rate , so it sounds like anybody's guess. Personally, I know alot of unemployed friends who wouldn't miss this for the world, so...

Vendor business would take a hit long before turnout.

Hey Mike- DO get that B-17 going! Mine won't be making the show this year due to the many big SCRATCHbuilds I have to prioritize.

Oh- Don't forget that camera! It looks like I'm gonna have a BIIIIIIG new surprise in time for the event (no working bombay though...)

Barrett I hope to see the p-40, it hasn't missed a AEF in 4 yrs. I was trying to get a new warbird and jet done for the event but doesn't look like thats gonna happen. I hope to bring a vertigo edge, H9 at-6, Gp RV-4, nitro starfire, Airpower f-20, H9 p-47 and the big p-38. Last year I had issues with the p-47 but I think its dialed in now.
