Hi Everyone.

For those of you who want to give precision aerobatics a try, the Flying Electrons are hosting their 15th annual Tamarack-Bud Weber Challenge pattern contest on September 15th and 16th. This year we are offering a Club Class that’s open to any AMA member at a reduced cost. The maneuvers in Club Class are no more difficult than those used during your pilot check-flight and are described in detail in the attached documents. Any AMA-legal plane is allowed to fly in any of the classes at our contest.


If you’ve ever wanted to give pattern a try, Club Class is a great way to do it. If you have any questions, or need more information, contact Joe Burzinski at jburzinski@wi.rr.com.

Believe it or not, the swap meet season is fast approaching. Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 7th, for the Winnebago RC Flyers (Oshkosh) annual swap meet. We will hold our swap meet again at the EAA Nature Center Pavilion. Drive to the EAA Museum and watch for the signs. See the attached poster for more information.

the cardboard boat race at Round Lake up in Clintonville.
how do we get there?

The second annual Build A Boat Race will be held on Round Lake in Belle Plain Wisconsin (near Clintonville). Go to Maps.google.com and type in:
Round Lake
Belle Plaine, WI 54929

This should show you round lake, grass lake and pine lake all connected. Round lake isn't that big (only 25 acres or so). Drive around it and you should run into the Chad and Jesse's Breakaway Bar and I think we start there and end up at the boat launch. Everyone is planning on getting there around 9am for registration and the race should conclude before 11am. Come on out and cheer. We think TR may be operating the boat. Chris is backup.

We're kicking the season off with the first swap, and we invite all VAM members to join us Sunday, October 7th at the EAA Nature Center Pavilion. Drive to the EAA Museum, and watch for the signs.

Lots of raffle prizes, including a "GP 88cc Gas Engine", ($600+ retail price) and many many others. Five bucks to get in. Food on site. Plenty of parking.
