Just to add we will have a display area if you want to show off your planes or heli's. The big thing is they want to see us fly. We will have a bunch of raffle prizes also available and this year there is more general prizes vs just aviation.

Brennand Airport is in Neenah on Breezwood lane 1/2 mile past JJ Keller. http://www.brennandairport.com/default.htm

Brennand Days was a lot of fun. It's a shame more were not able to make it but there were a lot of things going on yesterday with various fun flys, airport fly in's, etc.

PS: Only disappointment was that nobody called to tell me I won a raffle prize. Would have liked to win that metal detector..

Thanks to everyone that came out to Brennand old time days. I didn't get to talk to you guys too much since we only had 3 planes flying the Young Eagles so they kept me flying.

AMA Club Contacts,

Please pass on the following information to your club members:

I am writing to clarify the flying schedule for the Fond du Lac
Aeromodeler's "Warbirds and Classics Over the Midwest" event in Fond du
Lac, WI, August 16th-19th.

Sunday, August 19th, is an OPEN FUN-FLY and costs just $5 for pilots.
Pilots who registered for the Warbirds event fly free on Sunday.
Thursday through Saturday (Aug 16th - 18th) is the Warbirds event and
planes are limited to Warbirds and Classics that meet IMAA size
requirements. Any turbine aircraft with military markings qualifies.

Join us for a exciting day of flying in front of 600 spectators!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks,

Doug Woolridge

If there's a backlog at the gate, maybe it will be more like 12:30 so stick around a bit if we're not there right at noon.

Lots of things going on this weekend (Aug 25th):
1) Sailplane Contest Sod Farm - Starts at 11am, competition 1pm.
2) Calumet Flyers Big Bird Contest in Hilbert. 8am - 5pm. Big birds mean Monoplanes at least 80", Bi-Planes 60" or true 1/4 scale aircraft.www.calumetflyers.com
3) Astrowings Raffle, Swap Meet & Electric Fun Fly in Grafton Wisconsin 8am - 2pm.

Looks like there is time to check out some other events and then return back to Appleton for the Sod Farm contest. I myself will be spending the morning promoting the AMA and VAM at the cardboard boat race at Round Lake up in Clintonville. Of course we built an airplane! That event goes from 9am to 11am if anyone wants to find out whether the VAM boat floats or sinks.
