as everyone knows, work is slow these days so me and my girlfriend decided to skip all holidays this year and only exchange gifts on Christmas.

I've been working on a micro FPV project for the Blade mSR so i guess i got thea bug and i am leaning towards FPVing my Stryker, which by the way i can fly with my eyes closed including simulated FPV

my girlfriend asked me today what i wanted and there is soo many options and different shops/brands.

her budget is around $500
she asked me to make a list from one store, so she can get one package!

i do fly on 2.4Ghz (DX7)
my flying site is in the city (whats better 900Mhz or 1.3Ghz for populated areas?)
flying site is huge so 500mW is a minimum
would a 1000mW cause interference to my spectrum Rx
goggles and OSD would be nice but not a necessity
please recommend

I fly 900 MHz. I also run at 500mW and have gone over a mile away. 500 mW is plenty. You'll need a HAM radio license to fly this legally.

I like my set up. I got most of the equipment from DPCAV.com. I also fly with a Remzibi OSD (On screen display).

Camera: CCD 171 (I'm sure there are better cameras for less money)
TX - 900 MHz, 500 MW from DPCAV
RX - Standard RX with 8 dbi patch antenna
TX antenna: 3 dbi dipole
OSD: Remzibi OSD (PM Remzibi or HappyKillmore to obtain one of these)
Recorder: Aiptek MPVR (records AND keep screen from going blue when signal is weak)

I fly goggles that I bought off of Ebay. I think any goggles are fine to start. You might want better quality later, but on the budget, just get a set of QVGA goggles or buy a portable TV. I've heard that CVS carries a 15" portable Craig TV for $100.

also i have an el-cheapo 900Mhz rx with a knob that came with a wireless camera for $26, can i use that with a patch antenna or do i need a better one?
