Uh, please tell me you forgot to use this emoticon with that sentence: I have read quite a few downright frightening things about that outfit.

And as far as the link to the other gent selling this A-10 ... my bad. I stand corrected. Another case of confusion between the two A-10s being sold at BH.

Personally had issues with Easy Tiger. The man is errogant and hard to deal with. I purchased a hunk of junk F35 from him last year. The whole transaction turned out very ugly.

Back on topic, got mine fully assembled the other night.

I noticed the wing flex that was mentioned in the other thread. But looking at it, it looked like the wing was flexing in the area of the top surface CF rod, not out past it. It looks like the rod isn't fully glued in place. So I mixed up some WEST epoxy with slow hardener and put it along the rod. A good bit seeped into the gap between the rod and the foam. I will check it later today to see if it helped.

I dialed in 1 second servo slow on the retracts (X9303) and that made them operate more scale looking.

Update, epoxying the upper wing rods did not reduce the wing flex much if any.

Time to think about a CF strip spar.

Great review, as usual, Jon! I have seen this model fly and it's definitely a keeper. Very scale looking in the air.

just a note of something I noticed. The specs the author posted said the motors are 3950kv. BH says 4600kv. so either one is wrong or BH upped the motors in their version. if so 4600kv motors on a 64mm fan should be pretty powerful. guessing about 400 watts each & 800 watts total on 3s?

Placed my order with BH for the larger A-10 this morning.

I'm not afraid of BH. If they take a few days to get it out in the mail, so what. How many orders have I had to wait 3 weeks for coming from hong kong or china.
Since I used Paypal, the money comes out asap anyways.

Will post back when I receive it.

Jon,

You know that 6mm foamy jet I bought from you about two years ago? I still have that sucker sitting in the box. Too many planes, not enough time.

I just waited 41 days for a Hobby King order where everything was actually in stock and NOT backordered.

I always get what I order though. Waiting is no issue.

FYI, the deliver time isn't the only thing people are complaining of.

understood. But as long as my jet arrives relatively undamaged, I would have no further need for BH at that point.

If, in the event something arrives crushed/damaged, etc, I am very good at raising heck if needed.

Since I wouldn't buy a Receiver ready or RTF plane, I'm sure I won't be having electrical parts issues with the plane as supplied.

Back to the Warthog.

I've ordered in a couple 4000mAh 4s 30c lipo's to power my twin setup.

On 3s, each side does about 378 watts drawing around 35 amps. voltage hovers in the 10.6 range through most of the pack, so I figured a twin running from one 4s 4000 would keep the voltage steady at around 14+v give or take. Should be good for around 410+ watts each side. 800+ watts should keep the A-10 in the air nicely.

Some people would complain if you strung them up with a new rope
Mine arrived just fine and everything is as it should be. Just need better weather for a maiden...

Off topic, as Barnesjonr said there are plenty of other BH bashing threads, don't do it here. Do your own research. I know of a lot of happy BH customers.
Great review Barnesjonr.
BrianL check this thread out re the A10, no paid posts in it either and plenty of happy customers.
