Show Off Your Rides

Hey guys, this thread comes off the back of CBR6FS' want for a "show-off" section.

Up first is my Kyosho TF-5 which I use for 1:10 scale, touring car, on-road racing. I've replaced the stock 20T motor for the Tamiya Super Stock RZ 23T motor, going though a new set of rubber tyres/wheels fortnightly, and looking to fix up the the gearing ratio even lower so I can max out the top end speed.

It runs great along straights but if you're not handling the throttle right it will spin 180 on you. A great car to enter Stock/Novice class in.

Only downer is parts are pricey and not carried by most hobby shops where I am.

Taking a look "under the hood" ... It's really not as dusty as the photos portray it to be.

And the rest of my cars ATM.

I'm planning on fixing up the Turtle Van into a working RC car / tank making mods to an M class chassis or an >10scale car. Stay tuned for that one.

The Cyclone is another work in progress. Building this for awesome straight line speed and going to take it for spins on the freeway using a high powered brushless system.

The E10 is a great drifter and hoping to fix this up to be a show car decked out with heaps of electronics (lights, speakers).

I've also had a helicopter and Cessna which I've gotten rid of two months ago.

Let me know what toys you've got tucked away!

Very cool. I should really ditch on-road and get a truck.

58mph on GPS with a 6cell NiCad pack used for weight on the front bumper and it still wanted to flip over.

With the graphite chassis plate it is very lite and with the front angle on the chassis is naturaly wants to flip over.

On 2S it moves along very fast and 3S is insane, got to keep the trigger finger very lite.

Deathstar.. This is one of my on road vehicles.. It spends most of it time about 95% on road only... just too much fun.. The only off road it sees is the occasional dirt track and sand...
Here is a picture when it was just an XL1.. although running a Novak ESC and SpeedGems 8T... and paddles for the beach

Great idea for a thread

Ok i've got a few RC cars, so i'll just stick up me current fave for now.

It was originally a HPI RS4 Pro3, but there's not really much left on it that's Pro3 anymore.
I upgraded the chassis to a full Penguin chassis replacement.
Ezrun 60A Esc and i swap out the 5.5T or 9T motor depending on what i'm using the car for.

Various other HPI and HB upgrades but too much to list really.

With the shell fitted.

Cheers
Mark

Pretty much everything.

I have a second set of shocks for racing, so just swap out the wheels and shocks and i'm ready to drift or race.

I'm not much of a RC driver though so only race with mates as a bit of fun.
I am entering to Greek RC drift championship in a few weeks, so we'll see how that goes.

The drifting is fun, but i really enjoy the speed of the car more.
Some decent tyres and the 5.5T and it doesn't matter what tyres you have fitted your still sliding
