Have had an evo kit laying around for a few months, decided today to start on it. Had it finished in a couple of hours, S185 servos, DF battery, AR6250 receiver.

Went down to the beach where it was blowing maybe 2mph, had an 18 minute flight sloping a row of condos on the beachfront. After that the wind changed direction and killed the lift.

Thought I had the CG right on but it was really nasty in pitch, would tuck without warning and was difficult to trim. Have added a little more nose weight and will try again tomorrow. Still nice to fly, just not very relaxing. I can tell it's going to be a fun bird.

I noticed this with a 48" moth I recently maidened. Same characteristics. Added a little nose weight and cut down the elevator throw to minimum really helped

Nice Jun,

You just need a live camera person! The front of my house is filled with telephone and power wires... The back yard is up against the regional park which would be great, but there's a park police station at the top of the hill, they're not always keen on people flying RC in the park. Hmmm, maybe if I color mine enough to look like one of the local hawks...

are they making a DK-proof version now? if not, I'll give it three launches max before it reverts to a cloud of foam bits...
