Yup!...this heli is so stable, yet agile. Not to mention you can improve on an already great bird......i.e. CF frame ("HeadHunter"), Z-Power motor, 550mm blades, etc. It's not nearly as expensive to operate/own/crash/maintain as a 600...but almost as big....and a whole lot bigger than a 500 once you stretch it....which cost very little to do.

Gaui is FINALLY getting some of the attention it deserves..

flying-hobby.com.

They have daily deals. They repeat after a while, so if you want to save some change, you can wait for a few days.

Or you can buy for 79. Not bad either.

I got mine at Infinity Hobby, with there $59 sale. Don't know when or if it will be back. Might want to order the pinion, and any upgrades at the same time.

More of needing the missing parts, if you buy the base kit. Main blades, pinion, motor, esc, servo's, and lipo's. If you can out fly the stock setup, your very good.
If you want to run a high powered, big bladed, stretched setup, then you might want to look at a carbon frame, and metal head.

Zero!

That video I posted of Bobby Watts is a bone-stock 6s setup w/ their Motor.
Do a search for Kyle Stacy @ IRCHA flying the 425, it's stock too.
They were freakin' impressive to see in person!

The servos I am using on my Gaui 425 is corona DS-538MG at $20 for three...ESC I am using is a 60 amp Feigao Brushless speed control at $55....2 2200 flightmax zippy 3s at $28 for each one....Gaui 1400kv brushless motor at $65...T-rex 500 canopy $40.....cheap fiberglass blades $30....walkera wk-go11 AVCS gyro $35....Walkera HM 083(2801)-z-44 40g tail servo $32.50......so if you have a good tx and rx for around $500 you can get a Gaui 425 and have it flying...

I have been looking closer at this helicopter. I want something bigger than my HK450 in a while here. I am SICK TO DEATH of dealing with hobbycity.com lately because you pay $50 for shipping and they STILL dont ship it for a week after you order it. So looking at the hurricane 425 from any of the listed places in this thread. The spare parts are cheap, and the head actually looks easier to set up than a trex500. And lastly, I am a chemist for DuPont, and seeing Gaui uses DuPont materials, I can't pass that up... haha. I wish this heli was a bit more mainstream cuz I know my LHS doens't carry parts, but maybe that wont matter. I dont crash as much as I used to, and Im not looking at buying today, so I'll only get better now. I hope...

What do you guys think? Should I go for it, or get the trex? My biggest deciding factors are simplicity of setup, price of spares, and overal quality. I love the style and its far more capable than I can use. Maybe I'll go for this instead of a Trex.
