Planes under construction
Big winter projects
One Graupner acro thing ~70 inch I think CAP for 90 to 120 engine which will get a Saito 180 which was damaged when the dual battery mode switch for the radio battery failed on my Biplane Ultimate for 90 to 120 .It went in vertical into deep mud and bent the cam rods.New replacement cam rds goot from LHS last week so engine will be mended.
A acro thing kit ~CAP 55 inch I think for 40 to 60 engine will get a large outrunner that is replacement for ~90 engines and ~3 meter gliders with 30C/50C Kokam 6s 3200 turning prop ~13 inch should go vertical and 3d
Aeronaut Blade delta jet thing 1 meter plus wing for two 3 inch fans and 22 to 30 cells nimh or 8 to 10s
Mods are two 4 inch fan TF 4000 which wont fit in the neccales so necales will be not enclosed eg bottom half cut off and totally exposed to air .Cells will be 9s 3200 30C/50C Kokams .
Top speeds will not be great on efflux sub 130mph but 45 amps or 1200 watts per fan should make etimated less than ~5kg model go vertical very fast similar to F5b and then use gravity engine off for the dive speeds
Estimated the big ticket projects to be finished may 2010 depending on contracts in europe which wreck building shedules
More powerful engine/battery change out the gear for the Voodoo s400 pylon racer to go from present 130mph plus to hit closer to 180mph
Sort out why the twin jet model with 25 glow motor with pusher prop dont fly for me .
I saw this modification done on several twinjets in a Spanish model club and it flew well for them but twenty plus attempts for me failed miserably in front of all the members in my club so now they dont believe me .
Now I Must get back to Spain club and pick thier brains for the secret
hopefully a new contract to work in spain will happen early 2010 and I will resove the problem
If funds allow 2011 will maybe look to get second hand turbine jetcat 180
suitable delta thingy for turbine 180 possibly the german kit that with hopped up 18 kg fan to mke 25kg fan does ~500mph
late 2010 hopefully get some type of full spec ~150mph level flight ~F5d pylon instead for my modified f5d limited fleet which can still do a ~120mph ish speeds level and only touch 150 in dives
Suitable replacement biplane 55 inch for my 30cc MVS which worked very well on my graupner 55 inch ultimate before I swopped in the even better Saito 180.
Find a suitable machinist hobby modeler who will e work on making suitable statatic liquid fueled 6kg rocket engine that can work for 20 second fuel burn estimated 2 USA pints for that time span burning some sort of bipropellant like 100% nitromethane and nitrous oxide or suible similar fuels
Later make lighter version that will fit into suitable delta plane dropped from 1000 feet from a mother craft fire up motor enter steep dive and tear past club runway at interesting speeds eg exceeding ~200mph
(I am not intersted in this time to do solid fuel or hybrid rockets so its liquid fueled version or nothing for now )
Buy a second hand delta thing with a Pulse jet 4kg to 6kg that fly at sppeds faster than 200MPH.
(Problem is there isnt to many places to fly these noisy things as noise is 150 Db at 2 miles away I know some club members in my french club had them ) Hopefully can fly this sometimes in summer in French and Spainsih country side miles from any villages or houses if i go on work or holidays there.
Keep you posted will try to find links to past builds later and paste up future builds
