That shouldn't work, as cars aren't the same as planes. Reversing the polarity to the motor will recerse it's rotation direction, therefore, causing negative thrust. Reversing the Tx will also cause the motor to run at WOT when the Tx stick is at idle.
RC gar radios are setup so the throttle trigger travel is equal in both directions, and the ESC's made for RC cars are setup for specifically that. Pull the trigger back, and it will give it +100% throttle, however, push it all the way forward and it will give it -100% throttle. Our aircraft radios only have 0-100% throttle, not -100% to 100%
