The carbon fibre shafts are history. They have been replaced by thin-walled steel tubes.

The tuning set up on my Xeno has held up to some abuse without any problem. Mine came with a metal drive shaft. B.

Wow,

I bought a Xeno awhile back and just ordered the conversion kit, (not the complete power system ) I really hope the conversion kits have the metal shafts and not the older C F ones.

My Xeno Turnigy setup and fin mods

Hi, guys!
Thanks for all good information on this thread.
Read it a lot, incorporated some mods to my Xeno, created some others and now it's time to share

Fins: 100% longer, 50% higher > wobbling pratically gone!
Fins made from 4mm depron sheet, toothpicks and packing tape

Very good performance and parts fit, both to the Xeno airframe and to the "conversion kit" (all motor fittings without the motor itself) - far more cheap than Multiplex Xeno Tuning kit...

Setup:
Motor - Turnigy 2836 brushless Outrunner 1200kv
ESC - SuperSimple 40A
Servos - Hextronix DMG16
Battery: Turnigy nanotech 1,300mAh

Please have my video on those:

Multiplex Xeno, enlarged fins (2 min 47 sec)

Hi,

Got my conversion kit in the mail today and was very pleased to see a metal prop shaft extension.

Neptune - Xeno EDF lookalike

This design was surely inspired by the Xeno - may it have more commercial success :-)

here are two videos (demo by manufacturer / vendor, and one flight video by ready2fly, in the latter you get to hear the (imbalanced) EDF...)

Neptune-EDF (1 min 53 sec)

Neptune Wing by ready2fly (1 min 55 sec)

Schweighofer in Austria has the model listed and a price, but none stock

Same as with the Fun Cub ...

Newer kits come with slightly larger vertical fins.

I have no issues with the original ones. The newer ones will fit of course - they use the same clip-on system.

Hi, can someone suggest an alternative to the very pricey replacement stock folding prop that is available for the Xeno?

Any 9x6 standard folding prop will fit. But how much do you think you can save with the alternative?

I always thought it best to ask those more knowledgeable. Sometimes the answers surprise you, and a great bargain is revealed.

Sounds like you are satisfied with quality of the stock prop and its price. I will probably just go with that.

lol, mine didnt even make it onto the motor because it didnt fit at all, and I've read loads of cases of others where they were breaking on the first few flights, and had to be replaced with the aluminium ones.

Mine has the alu kit in it, no problems with that at all...
Its pilot on the other hand... Well... We wont talk about that
