Yeah, well, I looked at the wind and thought it was too strong for my slope glider, hehehe.

Remind me of your gear, was it 9x with FrSky?

PS use this site, it's much more appropriate

You're a long way from home paul. I'm just getting started in FPV and can't help with your request but hope someone else can. Great area Mt Macedon with lots of nice scenery.

Yeah, 9x with FrSky. I think ages ago I set my failsafe for full up elevator so I could tell if I was getting signal glitches flying LOS. I'll have to change the failsafe.

Great wind site, but the BOM one has predictions so I guess both are good in their own way.

What OSD is everyone using?

Sent the V1.5 CE OSD back to BEV a month or so ago, that vanished into the Ether, but I did get the money back after a tedious PayPal dispute...now my old CEOSD has stopped looking for SATs...geez I'm getting
I've looked at the "Poor Mans" osd but you need a degree to put it together..others are too complex
I just want something simple, basic & RELIABLE...yea, Yea, I know Xmas has gone....

So does Pilot Assasination supply some auto balancing? Have not seen any mention of a magnetometer attached to this unit.

Hello Pete,

Been busy as hell to be honest. Lots of things happening here mate. Not a lot of flying my own birds, which is kind of a bummer.

Have been working with some Gov. agencies both here and abroad, and movie FX stuff, which doesn't leave me much time to do too much for the local FPVer. Still fun, just the same.

Although not involved in the following... it's an interesting read...

Weather apps / sites.

Here is an app i use and have had great results with:

For the iPhone, http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/windf...336829635?mt=8

And a web based site as well, http://www.windfinder.com/

I use the iPhone app daily to check local conditions and it is excellent.

Mike.

Hi Mongrel, hope ya had a good chrissy, and all the best for the new year man.
WIll have to catch up for a fly again oneday!

__________--__-_-__

Had a good session this afternoon with my new rig, the Easyglider Pro, and i think i finally have it all sorted.
Got the balance spot on and the stabilisation working a treat and managed to kick the RTH into gear and was amazed at how well it flew the plane back with the default settings!
I might tweak them a bit more to tighten up the RTH radius but for the most part its fine as it is.
Managed 27 minutes on the 2200mah pack which was mainly from all the gliding in RTH mode .... the damn thing just seems so efficent and it does a better job of flying itself then i do!
Now i just need to drop in the 5000mah pack and go exploring!!

Been having some issues getting my recorder to work properly....
Its the JETVIEW GDV-101SD so if anybody couldshare the settings that work on theirs that would be apprciated. Box you have one ... does yours work ok?

Fitted a keychain camera to it ... but its way out of wack with blurry vision, perhaps from a crash ... so no new videos yet :/

I love my Elders Weather website, its all the BOM Data, but i like the way its laid out.

http://www.eldersweather.com.au/nsw/...es/demondrille

I use it for a quick check of the dew point and temp so i can get a rough idea of the cloud base height.

http://www.csgnetwork.com/cloudaltcalc.html

I am determined to be above them soon!!
