I've been pretty happy wit my fy21ap in my falcon wing, far, abm, rtl and acm work well.

I decided to test its ability to recover from an unusual attitude, I put in into a steep climb and as it went inverted I switched from manual to ABM.

it didn't recover in fact it made it worst, it started going everywhere, i engaged RTL, and it didn't help either, need up in a spin into a tree below.

found it at the bottom of the tree with zero damage.

gotta love flying wings almost indestructible.

I had it set to FAF which according to the documentation should maintain altitude at around 100 meters. On my last fatefull flight on the beach I lost control at about 40 meters altitude when in FAF mode dropped into RTL mode which was set in the RX failsafe. The plane should have maitained it altitude and looped back around and tried to come back to the launch point. What my plane actually did was to bank right and nose dive straight into the water. Thus the reason for me considering another system as I have some hesitation trusting this system again especially when it is in the higher cost range for navigational systems.

GoPro can, but there are some bad reviews about them. Apparently there is a delay when using for live feed (Disclaimer, I've never tried myself), and camera will shutdown when memory full I beleive

Here's a thread on FPVLAB that discusses the issues, have a read...

hi all
question for LRS users (433mhz) ... i have a question you may be able to help with..

has anyone ever had interference with LRS from digital servo's?

my antenna is very close (3cm) to a digital servo and i am wondering if that would cause interference with LRS (433mhz) signal?

cheers p

I was just thinking about ways to mount batteries in the nose of my Bixler, and I'm wondering if some foam would work? It would be great to carve out a nose shaped piece of foam and cut a battery size hole in the middle of it. Nice firm hold and cushioning for uncontrolled landings but I wonder if it would insulate the battery too much an cause it to over heat? I'd hate to have the nose of my plane catch fire in mid-air.

Anybody using the Myflydream antenna tracker? I have one under the Christmas tree, got the OSD out of the box before I handed it over to Santa and been having issues with getting video to the ground station. I had another look today and found that the AV out and in are transposed on the labelling on the PCB, as soon as I swapped the cables up the video comes. Don't you just love this Chinese stuff.

Thanks Box, Yeah, well I wasn't planning on having anything but there's always something happening that you just never know. Well I sure hope it's only a low and dosen't come any where near being a full blown Cyclone.

I haven't got access to the internet much while I'm here but I'm doing ok and trying to keep up with everything any way.

Well I think there won't be any flying for a bit as of today as the rain is starting to move right in now. Hopefuly it does clearoff and I can fly.

Cheers Guys, Happy christmess
