I have untold HG hours there myself. I even used to scoot down after work occasionally during daylight saving and catch an hours soaring before a late dinner.
I caught this a few weeks back at Mt Terrible. It was just a flash in front of the camera, no more than 2 frames worth.
He didn't hang around though. I would have loved some more footage.

There is a mob that advertise on RCG with an arf BOT clone, FG fuzz, built up wings, motor and ailerons. Not too cheap, but a simple option.
Just wish I could remember the name of it..

I tested my DL alongside my mate Bob's and both worked fine. Probably need to try at a distance too. I will take a look at Kapunda Ridge on GE as its got my curiosity piqued. I have never heard of it before. Im surprised in all the years HG flying nobody mentioned it.
Its a bit of a haul from here if the wind isn't on though.
I got heaps on atm. Fixing the Eclipse, building the tracker, and my ski mask for my backup HPs turned up today, so building them too. Will be needing a complete GS rebuild shortly to boot. It never ends!

Im interested Pete. An expedition could be in order. I have some holidays mid Jan. Getting a prevailing Westerly could be a problem as historically most Westerlies we get are blown out. I will defer to your local met knowledge.

Had a little flight at the local park this afternoon using an old 900mhz setup Ozzi lent me to try... put it on my Radian. Picture was not so good with the prop spinning but once gliding she was great, might have to get down to the slopes/ridges myself. Just had it set up with an old LCD screen in a box to test...

I have a whole bunch of 900 meg stuff you can have real cheap you want. Spare Vtxs and Rxs, rubber ducks and a patch as well.
