nice, I have a turnigy 35-30 motor here, might chuck that on with a 40a ESC.

I had 4 flights with the ST360 today and yeah lacks power big time! Very hard to get to 500ft with a slight head wind!

Anyone know anything about this Sony camera. 540 lines for $47.

Or is there a better one?

Sony board cams are not too bad, good low light performance, 540tvl and low power consumption, might struggle a little in chanes like sky to ground etc but will do well.

Thanks jaskel. I might get one. It would probably be quite a bit better than my current best one - Killer Camera.

I have a board at present that I put on top of a tripod - very basic but just getting started. I thought one of those tracking system for the top of the tripod which holds the patch antenna would be good - even if I did it manually for a while. That EagleTree EagleEyes is looking good.

One thing at a time - I suspect this would be a reasonable cost.

Great video jaskel. No glitches. So you would have diversity and all the good gear by that video.

Hi all,

Went to my 'safe' spot to push my limits. Not a big deal for most, but I'm taking small step's to see what my gear is able to do. (Cralis, go to 36Mhz man! it rocks for the price!) I left the GoPro on the ground because it cost a lot of Mha to cart around, and on this flight I wanted to get some alt. 36Mhz seemed to have some 'drop outs' but appears to be capable of going futher, the video is only subject to interference rather than range issues, so there's more to be had all-round. I have a 1Gb version of this video that I will upload at work

It's not the Austrian alps, but its nice scenery for this part of the world, enjoy.

Hey, thats my stomping ground!

I was there today aswell (bit further south than you) to try my gear in a funjet.
I normally avoid sundays as the feral bikers come in droves and I end up keeping
everyone in the car watching a dvd which kind of defeats the purpose.

The funjet works great but I'm going back to the EZ* with 45min vs 10min flights
and no brown pants landings when the batts get low.

Nice vid, you go a bit higher than me, be careful of the military planes that like to fly low over that area sometimes.

Yeah, got ya! Military and everyone else. My boy does a good job, he knows to look and listen for aircraft. I had to come down just after launch because of a 'weekender' (the missing 1000Mha) he told me about. Good spot but, I'm just gonna chase the bikes and quads, they don't even know your near 'em. PM me when you get go on a weekend, be good to have more crew.

No Probs, I was there thursday, friday and sunday this week. Friday was awesome.
Usually each weekend normally on a Saturday morning - its quieter then and I can drop
my passengers off at the inlaws
I tend to stick to the Quinns side now because its quicker. Although the top of the half
pipe has really good views.

I hear ya. I'm time poor but try to get out most weekends, especially this time of year. I'm a part time Dad so have every second weekend 'free' of my spotter.

I go up that far to try and get away from phone towers, but my mobile still has full service there anyway! Does the job but. I just gotta get out and fly.........seems so hard of late. I know there are a few of us doing FPV, be good to get a regular hook up going on. I know Kev.au is up and about, yourself.........must be more of us............
