Yeah well, I'm still waiting on some more parts. I'm still contemplating on what to do with the servo connectors in the wing saddle as I would like to be able to put the GPS on one wing and the alt and speed sensors on the other.

I haven't found a suitable connector yet. I was looking at the MPX connector but I come up 2 - 3 connections short with them. The USB connectors may be what I go with on a custom PCB for mounting to the plastic saddle. Which version of that plug I'm not sure yet.

I have 2 FW190's now I'm getting better at this foam/glue/shaping combination. The first FW190 is the one from my latest vid. It had a catastrophic finish and has been in many, many bits since may 2008. I was going to chuck it but I didn't as the mainwing was still ok, so it has lived the last little while under the workbench. It's looking good as the camera is in the cockpit and has pan. The led strip voltmeter is in the dash too now. I am going to be doing a test tomorrow with the crappy cam and if that goes well it will be replaced with a better camera.

The other FW190 had a test with a 14V 3800mah batt last week. It had the problem in that the motor got too hot for the main gear and melted the gears and I have been too busy to get to replace the gearbox hopefully tonight.

Cheers

So that's what happened!? Melted the gears. Wow... Looking forward to seeing the new 190...

Just plugged in my lawmate tx and it went pop!!!
When I plugged it in I saw a tiny spark, think it may have gone between the positive and negative terminals on the connector, and after that the tx won't work.

I've never had anything like that happen before

I do not know anything about the Lawmate but if you did reverse polarity there is something here - may not help.

Stick this in Google:
lawmate transmitter polarity

and you'll see things like these:

If you are lucky you may have only done in something like a capacitor but maybe not that lucky. All the best. (in ordering a new one) sorry could not resist the comment.

Anyone know of a good supplier of 900MHZ 1500mW Tx/Rx's? I have been waiting for 2 months for HK to get them back in stock.

I have a few of 500mW 900 VTX and about 5 Rxs I no longer use. Plus duckys and a few DPCAV harmonic fiters. Want em? One of the RX has the saw mod done.

That might get me started.
PM me with cost and details and Ill let you know.
The reason I was after 1500mw was I want to try it in our race car (as well as an FPV plane).

Could someone tell me where I can get a small light-weight pan/tilt mount?

What servos are you using for 180 degree panning?

Is there any EasyGlider pilots out there?

I need suggestions on what motor to put on an EasyGlider. The weight including a motor is about 820 grams.

I have a bell style EMax CF2822 but apparently this is not good enough. I also have a good 1050kv motor but it has a threaded shaft. I need an unthreaded shaft to suit the folding propellers. I have put some balsa on the nose with some ply to mount the motor.

Any advice on what motor to use would be appreciated.
