HI all,

During my RVOSD5 testing I smoked my trusty 2836-2350, which hucked for its life a 7x5 off 3S, (I think it was pulling around 500W).

Well, I've just got off the watt meter with my replacement motor, a 380L (which I note is back in stock, mine's been on the shelf here for 6 months or so) & it's looking good so far, using a Nano-tech 2650 I'm getting 602W with a 6x4 then I loaded up a 6x5, it was reading 659W at 65A .The DLux 55A ESC that I'm using is like it was made for it, burst amp rating at 67A Can't wait to FPV this little baby

Still a bit behind StuntDouble's 800W Skyfun I have the opportunity to fly with, but I'm catching up

Lol, I forgot that with NTM Prop drive motors you need to order the hardware kits with them! Stupid I know, you'd think they would have it included!

Looks like the Bix2 won't be flying till next week now.

damn! I honestly thought the stock motor would've fried on 14 volts! go figure...
has it proven to be reliable on 4S? I'll recommend it to a mate who is getting bored with his stock Bix1, he can have my Bix2 motor
re catch-up... contact Gimm, I'm trying to push... errr... coerce... him into a saturday morning meet but he's whinging he has too much repair/building work to be done on time... I'm trying to help... I'm on my 3rd scotch...

BTW NutBag, that still shot pic seems to display a very clear case of tail gating tsk tsk

He he, not tailgating... He was reversing up without looking I swear

The Bix2 motor holds up fine, the bearings are what let them down eventually.
My old sky surfer motor was the same.... Ran forever once It got some decent bearings (quality bearings bought here prob cost more than new motor but it fixes them)

More fine tuning of my Discovery Quad the other day. Didn't have time to meet up with WitnessOnly or StuntDouble, so stopped at the local park for a quick sortie before reverting to family duties ... slowly getting rid of the jello...

Westgate Park (1 min 39 sec)

More rain here today so not going to get much flying in, but boxes of goodies arrived.

So it's back to the build table. I have a flash new Tricopter and Flame Hex.

Still need to work out a way of mounting the camera gimbal onto the hex.

Nope, mine is 100x better than neoprene. Have a look for any of manvsuav's vids and the proof is in the pudding, or rubber. Lol
