Hey Cableguy,
I've seen other posts by you and know you really like the Nine eagles. I'm an avid lover of the Esky Lama V3 due to ease of maintenance, duribility, "indoor" performance, ease of trimming out for that perfect "hands-off" hover, etc.. Parts are cheap and readily available on the internet as well. Do you have any first hand experience on a comparison of the two? I found only two NE vids on Youtube, but was impressed by what I saw! The price is definitely right, you have to look twice not to mistake it for a Hirobo XRB. Thanks for any input you might have! |

Hello Busa,
I have not played with any e-sky products in some time, however, e-flite I have. They are not even comparable machines. IN HARD STICK BANGING the NE has yet to have a blade strike or death roll to the ground. you will be amazed by the NE. My Hirobo is used only to get others involved and let out as a trainer until they take the next step. the NE also handled 5-7mph wind with little problem and was powerful enough to fight it, not saying it flies the same as dead calm but it is manageable. supposedly NE has relinquished using an exclusive US Dist. so more dealers are likely to pop up in the near future.
The only parts i have used thus far are a few dozen blades and 1 flybar(other than the 30' drop after hitting a powerline) <-- that required blades, landing gear and gluing the truss back on. there are several shops online that still stock blades and such, my LHS doesnt carry NE but they have parts in stock. at the price on e-bay, its a disposable price for a hobby grade heli.... My other concern was parts availablity, but a quick ebay search revealed more than an adequate number of suppliers. I found your inital NE review from back in Mar 08 and am reading through that now. Oh what the hay.........it's only money, I'm gonna pick up one of these little babies! Like you, I've been the Eflite route, coaxials as well as the MSR..........not overly impressed and no longer have an Eflite heli in my hanger. I've even had a few Hirobo Quarks.............every one of them developed a different problem, FRUSTRATING, to say the least. |

buy a few sets of spare blades. they still fly great chipped up, but at a certain point they go out of balance(2 coffee table legs). heh

Cable Guy,
Rick at www.clubheli.com is now selling parts for the Nine eagle sub Micros, Free spirit/solo and the new Solo Pros. I did not like my mSR and sold it. I love my Nine Eagle Solo Pro II. Flew it twice outside today. It flies great. You should look into getting one. |
