I know that was a joke - but I'd be getting angry and hitting them with a real bat after all the work involved in building it.

I must be missing a sense of humor, but that was not funny!

Nerf guns or even paintball I'd understand. Whacking it with a noodle, I don't.

I don't see this catching on as a sport... maybe in the special olympics.

here is my current project, an A-26 invader...
2x mustang motor / Gb
130x70 props
AR6400 brick - as second ESC, left over from worn out p-51
AR6400L brick - main brick, left from worn out 4-site
2x long throw linear servos, also from 4-site
500mAH 20c batt - wakera micro heli style batt
28 and 36 AWG wire

she is made from depron, balsa and carbon
I used 1, 3, and 6mm depron. 1/8" light balsa sticks and 1- 3mm carbon square tube, 1- 1.3mm rod, and 2- .8mm rods

currently she is 80 grams, I still need to finish the fuse top, and i'm looking at adding nav lights, goal is finished AUW of 100-105 grams....

i've flown her as she is, and she flys very scale. climbout is only 25ish deg. roll is slow and smooth, all in all she flys like a wwII light bomber should.
*NOTE* flight testing was done with ambient air temp in the mid 20's. I lose 3/10's of a volt on a fresh pack if it just sits in the cold for a few min. performance is avg for the flight, the first min she will climb at a 40 deg angle.*

Love A-26 Invaders. The real one could out turn a ME-109, Fast too. Used up through the Viet Nam war, when spare parts brought an end to her days serving. We have one at the Sac Museum here in Nebraska, all aluminum. One sleek, slick airframe well ahead of it's time.

Great job. Too bad the AR6400 can't handle 2 UM51 gearboxes though. Someone could probably drive a 7 Amp, one cell ESC like on Modfly's thread and power both motors through 1 AR6400.

When she is done please post another picture or two, but full size so we can get a better look at her.
