And it flew remarkably well. Knide edges, inverted harriers, etc. While not a dedicated 3D plane, each manouver was pretty much spot on. overall a very nice fly.

Dr John,

Is your beautiful MiG-29 a kit or a one off?

I can't seem to find your build thread, if you did one....

Thank you, I've always liked way Vic Smeed designs look. This is my first one, but I'll be building more after this one.

After the maiden flight and earning her wings I put a bit of trim on her. Here is the finished model and some features.

Magnetic removable wing

Magnetic battery and motor access hatch

50% Vic Smeed Courtesan (1 min 18 sec)

Hi Eclipse, very well made model with great detail works. The solution for battery holder is very interesting too.

buratino, your models consistently come in at very little weight. Very nice cabane work as well. Impressive as usual.

Recently I am going down size for indoor flight, and I am in the process of working through this thread, finding all the useful info and lots of lovely models..
So far I haven't seen this link or info posted
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1265873
This goes to the vintage and old timers thread, that consists of thousands of plans, of which there are many hundreds just just waiting for this micro conversion..plus many larger models.. and,
Even the larger models can be easily scaled down by the use of ScaleAndTile3 by bill segraves...just p.m. him for a copy of his scaling program..
info on printing these plans is here..and a post by bill which will make sending him a p.m that much easier
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...1560478&page=3

including the lovey courtisan seen above...see the pdf
Its good to keep finding the tricks and techniques everyone uses..like the magnetic retainers for the wing and hatch as above..

The MiG-29 is a kit. Build thread coming soon. I have all the pics edited and just need to sit down and do it. Any chance you will be coming to the Mullberry fly-in this weekend? It is at the Imperial RC Club field on 60 just east of town. If so I can bring you a kit.

The Jumping Bean will also be offered as a kit. Here is a pic of build #2 done to address a couple hitches in the first one. I have added a splash of color and glassed the wing and stab tops to use a skin hinge. Time to gut the first build and move everything over.

Great - looking forward to it. Should be a real popular thread (and kit).

No (I'm in Pensacola), but thanks for the consideration. I'll go vicariously through your pictures, though.

Good luck with the kits!

Neat!

I'd love to see a flying vid of one of these...a micro that can hover/harrier and flies well inverted would be a big plus for me
