If you put a Bravo SX motor in it you can get up to a 28% increase in static thrust.

Where can the best deals be found on um P51 Motors and gear boxes, AR6400 receivers and transmitters that work with the ar6400?

Thanks
Check out St Louis RC's online ebay shop for gearboxes and motors. Chinese cloned AR6400's are the cheapest (search within this thread to find the links). The TX will set you back the most, I think the cheapest option would be to source a second hand RTF 4ch TX

About them ar6400 clones.

They seem to range in price from about $20.00 down to $5.00.

I went through the pages of this thread back to September and could only find references to the $20.00 type.

Has anybody tried the less expensive ones?

Are those 6 channel ar6400's at Hobbycool (ebay) any good/reliable?

At 5 bucks the price seems awfully cheap.

That's an auction. It's up to $13.50 now with $2.30 shipping. I,ve never seen them below $20.

These are also Target Hobby brand, which are $19.90. I tried a couple and they are definitely worth $20.

If your bid + shipping is less than $24, its a good deal, because that's what a brick direct from Target hobby would run.

I like how this seller uses my diagram, too.

Mig-29 UMX pics

Finally got out for a photo session. Joe1320 was doing the flying while his wife Erica was shooting video and I was on the still camara. I managed to get a few decent shots and video should be posted in the next day or so.

Sooner than expected.....

UMX MiG-29 Video (3 min 10 sec)

After a couple circuits ,I gave it a few clicks of up trim and it flew great. We picked up a squadron of flying buddies too. Winds were just starting to pick up so there was no real test of the gyros, but it was ultra stable as it was.

Jumping Bean UMX

During the Mig-29 build while on dry time I was back on the CAD program working on plans for this little birdy. Based loosely on the Jelly Bean park flier plans available it was scaled to a 16.5" ws and uses the Rx and motor from a UMX Stryker. The major changes were to move the wing and stab onto the same plane as the thrust line. This build came out a bit nose heavy but still flew well enough that a second one is on the building board now and the motor has been moved back 1/4"
