Tight sideways loops in the first video actually made me laugh out loud.

I was going to use an AR6400 in this vintage single channel model called the Gnat.
Instead I used an AR 6300 and a micro falcon servo, AP05 and a stripped down 6A esc instead.. RTF excluding battery ( 2s 240mAh) at 2ozs..
The design was published in RCM in 1964... If it flies well I'm going to make one from depron with a 6400 for indoors... Its a massive 8" span

Iv'e had on building the gnat or the Bat nearly forever but was afraid the the short A/R would make it unstable. Guess you've taken that excuse away tnx, will soon start on one, besides it does look cool.

Denile,
Where do you fly in Brookings Bro? I fly at the H.S. I use to fly at the port until the Nazis took over. Shesh, my tax dollars at work.

Hi Denile,

Don't worry about the A/R... think of it as a delta

Have you a copy of the Bat you could post or email... I'm into building early micro s/c models.
My mate has just developed a small pulser unit , that adds onto the rudder output on a modern r/c rx .. You can use a mag actuator like the Adams or a small 50ohm relay and fly like we used to .

Hi Free..
It weighs 2.6ozs rtf.. The original is a bit over designed.. you can loose some of the ply formers, but there again it would have carried nearly 1.5ozs of radio and battery.I made no particular effort to save weight though..
Cheers,.
