At lease there in Toronto/Montreal. Maybe I'll email them and ask for price, and provide a link to one of my video's to show them what we want to do with them.

Search for the "Piano recorder". It's been discussed elsewhere and
those who have it seem to be happy. YEs it should be added to the first
post of this thread. I don't recall if it actually
has one touch record on the device itself, or if all the buttons are for
playback only.

And yes that solid state onboard recorder looks great (in fact, the specs are
good even for a ground recorder), but at 1190 euro or $1700 US
that's just way too much money to be risking in a plane that could be lost.
Now we just need someone else to create such a device, for a lot less $.
BTW, here's a cool thing about stereo recording capability and onboard recorder.
For those who only have on audio channel on their video Tx, and want to
use an antenna tracker which eats the audio channel, you could still
record the sound onboard and only transmit the telemetry to the ground.

FPV-NeurosMPEG4recorder.wmv (5 min 16 sec)

Had a brief window of no rain to test out the NEUROS MPEG4.
It was HIGH WIND though so my flight was all over the place putting the 640x480 29/fps @2027kpbs to the test.
I updated the 1st post with the file specs.
Records Static: CONFIRMED
Records / Plays Real-TIME: CONFIRMED
GOGGLE FRIENDLY: CONFIRMED.

Aw heck PART III

I'm took a chance and ordered another BR3002 from a seller in the UK.

The BR3002 seems like the best deal for my uses.

We'll see........

With the very poor lighting making large swathes of the ground be completely black
most of the time, it's not a very good test of the compression since there
just wasn't much detail in frame.
The couple times there were a lot of houses visible with decent exposure I
saw some compression artifacts that would blur the details at times, and not
at others. Need a test video with the sun higher in the sky and the camera
pointed down a bit (keep the horizon in frame, but put it about 1/3rd of the way from the top).

compact flash card

i finaly go with a mini notebook + a USB capture HD stick PRO wich allow me to capture full AVi
or 10 mbps MPEG2 wich are close to perfect capture files !
(expensive solution, but i will use the laptop for other task as well,
and i already own the USB stick before)

in full AVI, i can even use the full screen (11.5'' 1366X768! ) image to fly FPV real time without lag...
(1.5gig/min. capture file ! )

This mini notebook is equiped with NVIDIA ion video card

will probably buy a more portable unit when something really good
get in the market

A lot more than $1000.

I missed the fact that it uses CF instead of SD cards. That means it's quite a lot
larger than I envisioned. I know this thing could be smaller.
