Question: Does the USB port on this unit provide enough power to run an external hard drive ? iPod ? toaster oven ![]() ****************************** OK I found a manual and the USB port should power devices. But I couldn't find voltage requirements for this unit. 5V, 12V ?? Seriously thinking about ordering one. thanks |

i had 1 solution in mind: a mini notebook:
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/en...4-3979293.html i already own a pinacle USB stick video capture device and the record file is perfect with my actual laptop : pro: --not sot expensive, since you can use it for other task (370$ can) --windows XP=better match most software --should work with EAGLE EYE via usb --the laptop have an incredible resolution + 10" display --you chose the codec you want ! mpeg2 with 5 mbps...divx... --the record file is easy to edit with mpeg2 above con: --display lag, even before you start recording (about 0.5 sec lag) so i cant fly with the onscreen image even if its the perfect resolution --rely on so many software+hardware...not 100% failsafe... so we need a second screen ! |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=260506874897 Different seller than before, earlier seller had lousy feedback. I have a 160gb SATA drive I'm not using anyway. And this way I only need to carry the BR3002, bullet cam and battery pack. With the other unit, I would have had to have recording media too. |

Well I was just notified by the seller that the specifications on their latest batch are different. At first they said they could only use up 160bg hard drive. I told them what ChinaVasion told me the other day, that they were not selling the recorder anymore but they show an item in the same enclosure, buttons and all, that is for playback and storage, not listed as a recorder. My seller issued a full refund. So now I'm back to looking at a Pinnacle Video Transfer............... |

simply doesn't match what they have in stock? Or they have no stock and would have tried to order direct from the manufacturer? Or you just scared em into thinking they had the wrong thing? I'm sure there's someone who's still got some of these around. They were being sold in bulk lots originally. ian |
